Got mine today, turns out 47 fits! Ideally I'd have a 48 for my left foot, but without buying another pair, it ain't gonna happen! Got out early and went for a trundle along the coast, back for some lunch and then go out again...

Riddle me this, my Dragon II's are a size 44 and fit like a glove- I can wear ski socks with them if I choose, but normally don't.
I just picked up a pair of Hyrdo GTX's in a 45, and cannot wear them with thin socks- thick socks would be impossible.
And just to add to the fun, my Ergo II's are a 44, and are just fractionally too small (long rides lead to painful toes).
(In other news I received a pair of Bont A-2's in the post today in a 44.5m but they were too short, so they went back today, waiting for a pair of 45's to come back in return).

Sidi are notorious for having issues with consistent sizing.
Riddle solved.

Makes buying them something of a lottery.
What would a pair of Ergo II's be worth, in very good condition, disco silver?

Just got an email from Royles that they did end up having the dominators in stock in my size despite what the website said. They promised to refund me, but I hope it is not some kind of a scam.

they are good, so probably just sold out
i got the shoes i ordered from them

I hope so too. I got additional 10% off after grumbling a bit so now I'm just hoping the Spiders ordered instead are the same size as Dominators and will fit my feet.

Does anyone have any experience of replacing a Techno II buckle? I gone broke one :(
*Finally *got around to doing this. A bit fiddly, but easier than expected. No tools required, apart from something to poke the pin out of the hinge.

The shoes arrived today. Wow, that was quick. I guess I blamed the shop too fast. Anyways the shoes fit great so I'm one happy camper. Now I just need to get some new spd cleats.

Henry how would you rate your Bonts against Sidi's?
Tempted by those A1's from the TriStore
I have the CTT1's, and they are amazing. Took me 3 attempts to get them pasty shaped. Makes my other high end shoes feel like they have flex, and a sloppy fit.

I tried to find a London shop with Bonts, and failed, so ordered them from Chainreaction based on the sizing chart on the Bont site- and the shoes were too small.
So I sent them back, and whilst waiting for Chainreaction to send me another bigger pair I found a brand new pair of Sidi Ergo II's for "very good price", so got them instead.
It helped that I could try them on, in a real shop, also.
I'd like to try some Bonts, but the sizing and lack of anywhere to try them on is counting against them.

Mine are 1/2 size too small. Or rather I shall be going up 1/2 a size next time. I bought the wide version, and measured my feet several times. But I guess the chart doesnt work for all foot types. They feel nice on the bike, but my mutant long toe, sometimes rubs. The feeling of power transfer is great.
Bought them from a cheap Thai Ebay store. So sending them back and getting a replacement was'nt economically viable really.

dammit what size foot are you in normal shoes?

My Vibrams are an eight.

strange. I wear size 9 shoes normally and got the size 45 Bont's which fit perfect.

I've got strange, paddle shaped feet.

I wear a 43 northwave, and went with a 42.5 wide Bont. As size was supposed to be large. I think 43 wide would be heaven.

I have two pairs of Bonts, one road, one MTB, both size 47 and they are different sizes.

here is a strange question
what stiff soled shoes should i wear if i dont use cleats? i used to till i smashed my humerus into little pieces.. now i dont like the feeling of being locked onto the bike
i bought some specialized mtb tahoes but they made my feet go numb after more than one lap of richmond park. currently just wear nike trainers but obviously not great for anything longer than a commute -

Have you tried Atacs or high-float cleats?
On the rare occasion I ride with clips & straps I like these:

There are those leather old style stiff soled cycling shoes bluequinn uses. Can't remember the name though
awesome but shit. Awesome because they are the stiffest, lightest and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They don't have big holes in them like DHB and Shimano shoes, just little ones in the side but I've never had my feet get too hot.
However, I think I put them in the oven for too long when molding them because all the bits are slowly coming unstuck. Also I've walking in them too much and cracked the heels.
I'm going to use them until death because they're so nice to ride in but when I buy the next pair I'm going to be more careful about heating them when molding them.
