I hate to add too this discussion, but I but I bet I've been taken for a bike thief many times, eying up the parked bikes outside tesco brixton (or any bike rack) when walkin past, or having a decent looking racer, or selling some secondhand bike on gumtree/ebay.. All in my "I dont care"-look, ripped greesey combats, hoodie, cap & hat...

I wouldn't tell people if I don't care I look scruffy? Listen, I never pretend to be anything. Would you diss me to my face, or is this something you only do in front of your screen?
Anyway point is, just cause you don't look like a hipst.. sorry, lfgsser, doesn't mean you're a bike thief, or even dodgy.

Bmx and the other on an all black track bike, deep track bars, carbon fork and no brakes riding on the pavement up holloway rd (towards roundabout) on pavement doing dOnut skids. Sound like anyones bike? -
• #5891
Right, so it seems that my bike is being ridden around in the vicky park area. Anyone who manages to get their hands on my bike will be rewarded by moi (no sexual favors though im afraid)

Just heard news of a bike going from the corner of Brick Lane / B.Green Rd.
2 White guys walked over to a locked bike and used something to smash it open quickly before riding off.
Lots of people around. Can get better descriptions later if need be.

My Bike was stolen today from Batemans Row just off Curtain Road. It was stolen from inside our in-wall lock up at Theis + Khan. Someone bust through the mesh and opened it from the inside. It's a Charge Plug Grinder 2010 in cream with black tyres and seat, has Knog Frog lights in white and has had all the manufacturer stickers removed. The handlebars are Charge, but I sawed them down last week, so that's the distinguishing factor between other Charge Grinders. Also, Charge released a load of bikes without serial numbers stamped on. Guess what, mine was one of them. Thanks Charge.
Click on the link for a picture (I hadn't changed the seat height in the photo):
http://www.thomaswingevans.co.uk/Viva_Kirsa/Grinder.htmlAlso, if anyone sees it can they get hold of me straight away on 07809702011. This is a replacement bike for the same one that was stolen two weeks ago and my friend kindly replaced it for me. So that's a lot of money lost! Thanks guys!

Hey guys,
I just got my bike stolen from the Nuffield Chelsea Sports centre just off Kings Rd. A guy I met there recommended I joined this forum so hear I am. My bike was a Norco (a company from Vancouver) full Dur race (including wheels) with Richley carbon seat post and handle bars and new gator skin tyres. I loved that bike to bits and am so upset it's gone. I got hit by a car a few years ago and thought I would never get on a bike again but I fell in love with that bike and started riding again and now I was riding it everyday. I wish I had a picture to post but I don't. I would be unbelivably grateful if anyone can help me. It's a pretty unique bike to around London, you can only buy Norco mountain bikes in the UK. Thanks so much. -

From Vancouver originally and used to own several Norcos...also live nearby there so will be keeping a beady eye out....as above some piccies would be great so that I d-lock the right bastard and not some other unlucky vancouverite....

Kylie if you haven't got your own pic of your bike, how about a stock pic from the Norco website and a few more details. I live out West as do many others here, so with a pic we can keep an eye out.

Hope you get it back.

Saw some dude take two hire bikes out of a stand near Oxford Street this morning and put them in a Europcar van. Legit? He looked a bit shifty, but he might've just been looking for traffic as he crossed the road.

Did you miss the winky smilie? I think after 20 years of living in south east London (plus 20 years of not) I know what dodgy looks like. As for trying to call me out as some kind of keyboard ninja you're barking up the wrong tree mate. Come to souths drinks (I'm well overdue a visit this year) and I'll buy you a beer.
Would I diss you to your face? Yes if I thought you were being a twat. And I wouldn't expect anything less in return if I was being a plonker to someone in public.
I remember that, that's someone on here who wrote a lengthly story about that.
