They cut a Fagh, was there evidence left?

I think it's fairly close to the definition of dodgy:
It's only missing "ca$h only - NO POLICE"

There was nothing. It was locked to immovable (i.e cemented rather than screwed to the ground) bike railings. CCTV shows three men climb over an 8ft wall and somehow remove the lock within a couple of minutes? The lack of light and poor image quality mean I cannot see how.

angle-grinder I spose.
-
• #4381
No lock can ever withstand the force of an angle grinder, even the Fah Mini.
Any chance you know how long it took them to get your bike off the railing?

• #4382
Just under 5 mins.

Had my bike stolen. Locked using an Abus Granite chain/ padlock AND a krypto Fagh!
Really sorry to hear about this Hobo. This is the third beautiful bike you've had stolen in a year. And you used the most secure lock there is! The previous guesses, that an angle grinder might have been the device used, sounds the most possible.
I was thinking though, was this in a public place, because the noise of an angle grinder going through a Fagh Mini, would create an enormous racket. Also, did they lift the bike and walk away with it, because I only wonder if they cut the chain (easier), then took the bike away, to work on the Fagh Mini later? If the bike was seen being wheeled away, it meant they cut the Fagh Mini and then took it away. It doesn't make alot of sense taking away broken pieces of lock though.....unless the thieves fingerprints are already on a police database...
Your Abus chain, which was it, if you don't mind me asking? If it was the Abus Granit Extreme Chain 37, then those guys were properly tooled up. As that is ABUS' best chain, and meant for motorbikes. Maybe not in the same league as ALMAX, but it would've taken a whole lot of effort to get through that one...
I hope this turns up quickly, and that you get it back.

Anybody had SS bike stolen in Leyton/Leytonstone? I'm not sure what it was - looks like brand new OTP affair.
I've just seen it casually dropped outside the caribbean takeaway for almost an hour (Fully Governed, formerly known as a Bamboo Joint - unlocked which indicates, that the owner is pretty sure nobody would dare to jack it).I know it fairly racist to presume it was stolen, but we all tend to lock our bikes and not dump them across the pavement like hoodlums do with their bmxs. The thing is, that take aways sells fuck all food (I've tried), but has variety of substances available on the back.

I spoted a really dodgy fella down Lower Clapton Rd., typical geezer (±35yo) Reebok Classics, colars up, etc... Bike: Langster (maybe a 56, 57cm), white handlebars (risers, uncut), running as SS but had another fixed cog, oh... and SPD's. That's where I saw everything was wrong.
I was next to hackney Baths and this fella was on the bus stop, a Police car was passing by, at the same instant he just tried to cover the bike with his body, the Specialized big decal.
I stayed around a bit more to try and see where he was going, he lives just there. He got on the bike and could barely touch the pedals, maybe didn't know that seatposts are adjustable.
I feel bad for 'tagging' people like this, but that guy had a bloody nicked bike with him, and couldn't even disguise it. -

It was not really public. I am working out of Hammersmith hospital and it was kept in the yard out back. So no one was really around. I thought it would be secure because it is so secluded and the public cannot enter. However there is a alley that runs behind which the thieves used. I think they must have seen me cycle in every evening and planned their crime. From the CCTV they cut the chain (Abus Extreme 37) for sure but I cannot see the fagh. However they must have done because both the chain and the fagh were connected to the bike stand?
Someone did actually spot it that night. One of my friends were driving to an accident and thought he saw someone riding it, though he couldn't be sure.

Get another bike, leave it there, but disconnect the brakes, loosen the stem and loosen the crank bolts.

looked like a geniune ad but when i called he spoke in the classic geezer trackpant language, lives in Stepney Green. I asked him if he has upgraded the bike (which clearly is the case coz the original lemond comes with shimano sora groupset and in the pics is 105 and Tiagra caliper) he couldnt say anything + the wheelset on this is definatly not OTP.
I was just looking for a decent geared bike around that cost.
Oh and theres another Lemond for sale, seems dodgy: http://www.gumtree.com/london/37/61881537.html -

Hey all, long shot but I had my moped nicked from W11 yesterday afternoon, people seem to think it was lifted and put into a van as it was next to a pub (the Clarendon w11) that i was with for someones birthday.
It was a black Vespa and the only thinkg that would make it stand out here was that it had a "14Bike " sticker just above the number plate. It was all insured but just pissed off that someone could do that in broad daylight (about 3pm) when I was having a bite to eat less than 30 yards away

Was it looked to anything? Problem is as you have seen people can just lift them into the back of a Van or put on the back of a Truck.
Hope you get it back but this will probably be sold as part on Ebay.

Yeah, not holding my breath, didn't lock it to anything as (a) it was the afternoon (b) I was going to be next door (c) there were nicer/better condition bikes just round the corner (d) the rear wheel was locked.
The body work was all fairly dinged up so not quite sure they would have wanted it. I think i am most pissed off as i just filled up with petrol

Every time I fill my car up to the top something breaks on it so I only keep a tenner in it now unless I am taking the bike to Wales. Do hope you get it back soon.

@feganisation, Saw your Felt on Brick Lane on Sunday about 10.30am, some guys were asking me if it was worth £180 and if they should buy it, I told them it was stolen and shouldn't bother. To which they told me the only reason they were their was because they too had had a bike stolen and they were finding it hard to resist just buying a cheap stolen bike.......and so the cycle continues!
Crap news, Clarence!
