sure will!!! now I have my bike back I can actually use this forum :D

when you say donate - what sort of donations does the forum accept?

  • oh also forgot to add that last week someone in our office had a bike stolen and they recovered it from gumtree, it took the police 2 days and an hour long interview but he still got it back :D

Forum founder has chosen this method. Meh. Just 'buy us a beer', if you want to. Oh, and welcome to the forum.

  • All done - thank you all once again!!! :D

I didn't take to you too well at first, but I have certainly admired your tenacity. I'm glad you got it back.

Hopefully this forum has also shown you new ways of securing your bike. It all helps.

  • Last few days on my way home from work ive seen several bikes for sale that are prob stolen at Top of broadway market, entrance into London Fields park where the brew heads sit on benches. If you had your bike stolen in hackney area pop down there.

  • Update: recovered

A good friend of mine had his 58cm Focus Cayo stolen from their Kennington flat (along with everything else) yesterday. **2008 **model I believe. Black with red accents. 10 speed Ultegra gears/brakes, 12-27 rear SRAM 34/50 cranks and Speedplay pedals. Mavic Aksium wheels w/ **PR3 **tyres and no stickers. 2x **red bottle cages **fitted (after these photos were taken).

If anyone spots something like this give me a yell here - or my number is in the Phone numbers thread. He's pretty gutted as you'd expect.

  • Think that's the 2008 model Cayo. I have the 2009 and it has quite a bit of white on it.

  • Yeah I wasn't 100% sure. He bought it used.

  • ^ There are always bike sthere, not ever seen anything really nice though. Also check out the kids that hang around Globe Road, little cunts always have bike, plugs and langsters they seem to like a lot! and also various hybrids and road bikes

  • This site was created in response to the developer having his bike stolen. It aggregates all of the bikes for sale in London daily on ebay and gumtree.

Could also be used to find bikes for sale.

Sorry if this is a repost.

  • The corner of london fields (as per the picture above) there is nice lime green fixed bike for sale right now. I can't get a picture as i've already been clocked. Track bars, no tape, front brake, right hand lever. Reckon it's about a 57cm frame.

  • Yeah I wasn't 100% sure. He bought it used.

Feel sorry for your mate by the way, I'd be gutted too.

  • Not sure where else to post this, but there was a track frame locked to the railings outside Leicester square tube this afternoon. Frame was still locled, but had been stripped completely, not even the head set was left by the looks of it. Couldnt say what frame it was, no paint or decals on it.

  • Had my bike stolen. Locked using an Abus Granite chain/ padlock AND a krypto Fagh!

  • Bloody hell, that seriously such, you got insurance on it?

  • this seems sooooo dodgy:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pro-Lite-Racing-Bike-very-good-condition-/290452247812?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item43a04d9504

I think it's fairly close to the definition of dodgy:

This is a pro lite racing bike, hardly used with all the original racing bits attached, very lite frame, you can pick up with one finger.
I think its a carbon fibre frame but need to check.
This is a custom built bike, hand built i guess. I will add more info on here once i get the exact model.

Pictures are of actual item for sale, and as always - feel free to ask any questions you may have.
I prefer cash payment in full on collection. Item is located in London E6.
    All the best.

  • Thankfully yes. After my last one got nicked I thought i'd make the leap into the world of insurance. If anyone spots it email me (iminthelab at gmail.co.uk) or call/txt )0.seven.seven.0.six.1.four.seven.six.one.seven) Thanks. What a week.
