  • is there a thread on it ?

  • someone should start another one.

  • Never stop for the police, may as well make them earn their money,
plus theres the chance you will get away,
    win win situation.

but if you get caught you get arrested for failing to stop... so it's bet big win big, bet big loose big

  • oh well, i must be on a winning streak then

  • but if you get caught you get arrested for failing to stop... so it's bet big win big, bet big loose big

You have to make sure it looks like you never saw them. A good idea is to be riding fast in the first place, a sudden burst of speed as you pass a copper is going to look suspicious.

  • i just dont think they can be that bothered to take chase of a cyclist, its a waste of time considering they can't do you for anything anyway.

  • again, read what happened to eyebrows…

they will chase you down and if they're in the mood for it, knock you off your bike with their van

eyebrows has the scars to prove it

  • better then to relax in the self discipline of stopping at reds, and STILL getting there faster than lots of other means of transport, oh, and nodders who cant ride very dynamically.

  • Saw a police van jump a light this morning, I caught him at the next light and asked if he was on call, the answer was no. I then asked if he had intentionally run the light, and he explained that he is a trained advanced driver and had observed properly. I said that was funny because I have made similar comments to police officers when I have been caught. He asked me why I was hassling him, I explained it was merely to reciprocate.

    You should have said.

"You are not THE law but merely its representation. And I pay your fucking wages".

  • I just looked through the first 2 pages of threads started by eyebrows and can't find anything obviously related to the police.

So therefore it did not happen?

That aside it is clearly unwise to run away from people who are in constant radio communication with thousands of others, all of whom can start chasing you (with guns!) if they are sufficiently provoked.

  • better then to relax in the self discipline of stopping at reds, and STILL getting there faster than lots of other means of transport, oh, and nodders who cant ride very dynamically.

Yes, and by being observant of traffic flow and traffic signals be able to control your speed and road positioning so you don't always end up waiting stationary at red lights.
Alas, tell that to the noddys who want to blast through throngs of pedestrians and ride 2" from the kerb at all times, or the fixie skidders sashaying around trying to be cool instead of looking where they're going and taking an efficient line.

I thank everyone's God that I don't have to do a noddy-peloton commute every day like most on here.

  • Yeah, and you can only ride away from cops on horseback, they won't chase you.

  • "I thank everyone's God that I don't have to do a noddy-peloton commute every day like most on here." RPM

or the home-work time trial...........every day.

  • I like traffic lights- you can do a version of interval training using them.

It's especially effective if the damn things go green rather faster than you had planned for, and you have to go to maximum output again whilst still panting.

  • Yeah, and you can only ride away from cops on horseback, they won't chase you.

    Ha...

I once saw 2 mounted cops chase down a bloke in a BMW M3 on park lane after they spotted him gabbing on a mobile at a set of traffic lights - His face when they cantered up beside him was about the most hilarious fucking thing you could imagine.

  • I meant if you were on horseback...

  • i just dont think they can be that bothered to take chase of a cyclist, its a waste of time considering they can't do you for anything anyway.

They do I've been chased down too, as has MA3K and Heal.

Luckily none of you looked like a plumber.

  • Luckily none of you looked like a plumber.

    Why?

  • Ah bollocks- I meant electrician.

    I fail at job titles.

  • So therefore it did not happen?

I beleive it happened, i just wanted to read about it and couldn't find the thread myself.

  • use the cunting search, look for user eyebrows and word "police" and you will find shit like

    https://www.londonfgss.com/thread17566-4.html#post686630

and there is more if you can use the brain enough to use the fucking search

  • They'll catch you if they're on bikes..easy
