I'm blaming all my lack of motivation this year on warfarin. That's my excuse anyway.

if only it were that simple for my lack of motivation this last 20 years, if anything the dvt has made me refocus on 'me' activities, after being a father and latterly taxi service for 3 surly teenagers - get on yer bike kids!
oh, steve's turned left out of wisbech, don't think we're going to the coast after all..

I wimped out, have just been out for a quick hour locally and decided that I made the right decision. It is colder than it looks and water poured from my waterproof socks when I took them off.
Maybe see you in a fortnight?

Yeah. Might enter that now. I'm in Poland for a week beforehand so it'll be a shock to the system!
It's gonna ice up tomorrow too. Not good!

Ah, whereabouts? I used to go to Gdansk a bit, loved it.

@KT_Bee Good, slow is good. You seem to forget I'm a fattish bimbling slowcoach. Looking forward to emergency porkpie action (not euph!). Hoping pal of mine @absurdbird on here will be joining us. Both fixed - assume you will be too?
@doppelkorn Course we care! I'll be trying to do more 100/150/200s this spring so come along on an another easy one some time. -

My missus is from the south. Have been to Gdansk once in summer and also enjoyed myself there. The south will be covered in snow this time of year and is very pretty - good for trekking up the hills and general snow fun.

My wife is Czech, from Ostravice near the Polish border. My daugher is flying out to visit her grandparents there - new route from Stansted direct to Ostrava - not sure if that would help you in the future @hippy ? Depends where in the south you are heading. Saves us a 3 hour train journey from Prague. BUT - my daugher wants a lift back from Stansted when? on 17th! Bugger!

Point her at the Stansted Express website.

Hi tracker hasn't updated since 11:51 - probably soaked through as well?
-
• #2939
Nice one. We've booked flights already (it's a pain since they stopped going Luton -> Krakow) but this might be a nice option in the future since I don't think the missus has ever been to Czech and I've only ever been to Prague. It's only about 150k from where she grew up and there's probably trains from Ostrava to Krakow we can use as well.

Willy Warmer, entered.

Likewise. Hope it's dry. Might see you at the start

I'm usually late. If you see someone swearing at a black and white Kinesis it's probably me. Say hi as it might take my mind off whatever I want to destroy on the bike. I have new shifters now so might actually be able to change gears, which will make a nice change. :)

ref lack of update
well Graham, it was an honest mistake, I simply had to immediately get to the maccyd's drive thru lane and SMIDSYd this cyclist in red....

but srs for a mo, if you email his website and request the itinerary, and would be prepared to cycle with him for a bit/day (just like tommy godwin had support bitd), he'd be appreciative of the company and more importantly the drafting (and it's not contra to the rules)
-
• #2948
Yeah, when I start riding again I might try and head up to where he is and tow him along for a bit. He should ride to all the TTs and grab a tow at pace so he can go to bed earlier :)
This should be in the proper thread.

And then hippy's magnets would crash him out. LOL.
What of those who are in a position to post on here? 1000 lashes!
