some quarters believe the development off key colours coincided with the expansion of Ernesto's ego,
he has been quoted I believe stating his bikes are the best in the world, which is a tall order -
• #75253
All their current crabon bike ones are horrible and generic. :(
^ This
Colnago GEO, or "World Map" is the best yet .. IMHO

Random thought / question that has just occurred to me...

The fork / stem / hs will never cease to bug me on those "new" colnagos.
Why when they're ltd ed type things, do they not have a 1 1/8" ahead, or some special carbon forks, with a special custom stem in teh size the first owner orders, and some sort of non-fugly ltd campag record headset.
It's bullshit.

It's to do with the rotation of the earth, and the way the water goes down the plughole. If you go to Australia, you'll find the driveside is the other way round.

Agree, they look awful when you could do it in a way that didn't. You'd be free to buy the frameset and choose your own headset/stem, of course.
They put loads of nasty FSA stuff all over their other bikes as well (and those hideous levers on the C59 disc). TBH most recent Colnagos are an exercise in poor taste, occasionally through chance they end up making an awesome-looking one.

to discuss carbon -
• #75273
Anyway if he meant Colnago Supers he's right

Nobody is entitled to inflict this on the world.

ostentatious, agreed,
but
was ahead of it's time, circa '88
possible re, and non drive side... but undeniably amazing for 1975. Speedwell Titalite, 40% lighter than the steel equivalent, and (literally) 100 times more expensive.
