repost, this... but I emailed them for waiting times on one of these a couple of years ago:
-
• #30280
Did they ever get back you Balki?
-
• #30281
Yeah, something about a big downpayment and a number of years wait. Cant remember exactly. I'll have a look for the email.
They're not cheap either. All in all, it just wasn't going to happen.
EDIT: Just looked at their website and it says they're not taking any orders in 2009.

Yeah - 5 year wait list. Definitely made of unobtanium.

? 40cm tube + 6cm saddle + 16cm crank = 62cm, so about 24" inseam, could be somebody about 4'6", i.e. a small woman.
mixed up my calculators :S
Still make it [(40+6)x1.09]2.54 ~ 20 ins.
So still think its a childs bike.

sorry mate, it took me just 5 years learning to do that, do you believe, i got the bit that makes me understand the difference? waht is say, it's not your fault, just my inability really.
...and i like the merckx. like me, who wonders about the right bartape for this one?
-
• #30285
Green Benotto tape would do the trick..
-
• #30286
some risers with ourys would do the trick

i think it's complimentary like that - they were going for the motorcycle look, you know?
and yes, might have went with drum brakes or smthn, but this ^ looks really good to me personally
o, and the fork crown, i just noticed it - WOW! -
• #30293
Seeing Sacha White make a bike with that kinda brake setup would make me think over that previous statement again, nyquil.
In my eyes that bike is gorgeous just the way it is. -
• #30294
i don't like the actual discs though - callipers look like avid bb5/7, but discs look like shimano center lock or smthn. dunno...

yeah its pretty stupid to have that many risers with a track stem, when he could just remove the risers and put a standard upward pointing stem and have the same bar position, with lost weight and added stiffness.
Plus for a track bike the bars look to be a bit high anyway, normally they are around the hight of the front wheel. But hey, each to their own, if it makes him go faster then do it.
This is rather silly, isn't it? Bar 'height' is relative to saddle height. You can see that the bike in the photo is set up in quite an aggressive position.
Why don't you take a look at my Cannondale? My bars are set up for a low, aggro (albeit comfy) position and the bottoms of the drops are nowhere near the front tyre.

• #30298
let's face it, most of your bike is nowhere near the front tyre.

Bar height is also relative to headtube length. The taller the headtube the further away from teh tyre the bottom of the drop will be. Just proves what a ridiculous way to look at it that is :-)
Its quality. I've always pined for a vanilla.
