OK well maybe the ahead setup imitating a track quill stem is kinda naff... But this bike rocks my world:
yeah its pretty stupid to have that many risers with a track stem, when he could just remove the risers and put a standard upward pointing stem and have the same bar position, with lost weight and added stiffness.
Plus for a track bike the bars look to be a bit high anyway, normally they are around the hight of the front wheel. But hey, each to their own, if it makes him go faster then do it.

I doubt that is why they have done it though. Just wants to look 'tough' with a downward angled stem but isn't actually tough enough to live with the bars that low so goes spacer mad!

With no spacer above the stem either. It looks like you could tear the bars off in a decent sprint*.
(*well I could cuz I'm well

i hope he isn't riding it on the street though, Yamaguchi would have a heart attack.

Love it, but how does one ride this? Aren't you supposed to have really really short legs? :)
-
• #30257
you probably need tiny tiny short stumpy legs to ride that!

• #30258
Looks like a 29'r?
-
• #30259
If the cranks are 165's then the seat tube is around 36 cm (C-T).
-
• #30260
Given how poncy and NAHBS it looks, I expect it's 650B
-
• #30261
I quite like it - looks like an old 40's motorcycle to me.
-
• #30262
Maybe we're all wrong about the scale and it's actually Max's 36er
-
• #30263
If we say the seat tube is 40cm and the saddle 6cm over that. Then the rider has a 20" inseam. So its a very expensive childs bike.
ED: buggered calc see MccTesters qoute :(

still! them legs need 2 b shawt!

• #30266
^^ i think that was the intention/inspiration

I would'nt let a 10 year old ride the black and white one.

? 40cm tube + 6cm saddle + 16cm crank = 62cm, so about 24" inseam, could be somebody about 4'6", i.e. a small woman.

vinyl is correct, made by him for her
Yeah do it! I could probably 180 the thing, or if I was actually good at BMX, tailwhip it. ;-)
