They look wank
Probably because they solve a problem which doesn't actually exist, while adding some new ones which hadn't existed before. They might be all kinds of wonderful in their execution, but since they're premised on a fundamentally flawed notion of where the weaknesses lie in traditional designs, they remain rubbish.

Abject FAIL! Where did the shopping go? The bike has a small (and apparently only decorative) rack on the back, when what it needs is a basket on the front.

The idea of the pre-fab wheels and slide-in hub is a great one. You could just drop the wheel off, slide out your fixed, slide in your internally-geared and go. Nice.

The reason that zipp wheel is in this thread is cause it's mental. You'd have to be very brave to spend almost a grand just on one wheel with those components.
p.s. the rest of the bike is a road colnago frame with all "colnago" stamped stem/seatpost/seatbolt/chainset/pedals/etc. :) say no more, the rest of the bike shall be a mistery cause i doubt the owner would like me posting photos of his bike on a public forum.

I'd love it in that video if she gracefully cycles away with the shopping bags hanging from her bars, then bham, it gets caught in her front wheel and she face plants. or not.

That thing is hideous. I'd rather have an original shopper, atleast it has proper racks.

No, it is just like riding in drops. Now where's that picture Ed made with the Fuji track placed over the low pro...

Actually, this is how the Gazelle Lo Pro was designed.
Saddle, BB and lower parts of handlebars in same position as regular road bike.
Then redesigning the frame with 26" front wheel, shorter stem, etc.
Actually it can be ridden like in the drops on regular road bike.
Of course it really depends on the length an position of stem, bars, saddle,...
