It would still ride fine, just a small amount of trail. Bikes have existed with no trail and they work okay.
So maybe the designer knows more than you, they are just not contained by the limits of what a bicycle has to look like :-)I'm not so sure, ed. I'm no expert, but it looks something like 80deg head tube angle and 0 rake. If that is true, with 700c wheels, the trail would be 59mm, which is fairly standard.
The top and down tubes appear to be adjustable which could alter the head tube angle.
The head tube looks as if it also has a pivot point.
The designer may be brighter than you though[t].

It's a bit off-topic, but this is still porn. Primarily from an engineering, rather than aesthetics point of view.

That looks like loads of fun.

I don'f really get it to be honest, nice as it is. Want to go fast without pedalling - get a scooter / motorbike. Want a fast, lightweight, efficient human-powered vehicle - get a normal bike.
Edit: fuck it, at 6000Euro plus Vat get a mtb, a race bike and a scooter. Then go out for a few beers.

Uh Oh!
That is not the way to lace that rim. Zipp's can't handle that sort of angles. But on another note why buy an aero rim of top quality and build it up on an overpriced rubbish hub?

because you have the money but not the brain

Since when chub hubs are rubbish?? they're surprisingly light and the quality is great, especially after lifting Scott's one.
You think radial lacing are perfectly fine on any hubs, you gave poor advice on Braker's frame design, and now you says chub hubs are rubbish!

Welcome to the internet expert. Although to be fair not everything you say is always 100% :-)

Ed can you come and lift one of my hubs as I want to know the quality of it. ;-)

of course, human make mistake sometime, I do realise I sound like a hypocrite when I wrote this, but to claim that chub hub are rubbish is taking the biscuit.

They look wank
probably, but looking at other image, it's pretty clear the saddle height can't be adjusted, unless it's a coaster hubs, there's no brake, tyres are not inflatable, and the pivot point I can't really see or read anymore information on that, after all it's just a prototype to show the folding wheels I suppose.
