@ murtle - can you just heat the frame to get the spots?
I reckon it's 'Oil-Bluing'.. dip it in some oil / chemicals first.
interestinnnnng.
The Nobilette is nice - interesting lugs. -

either way, i suppose.

It's a hot look.
Like blue cheese. -

That Nobilette's lugwork is lovely, Nervex meets NJS style.

Can't remember what price they settled on for the fork....but you can get it with canti mounts or without....not sure if he's offering it yet with disc mounts but he was talking about it a couple of years ago.
...think the fork alone is around £90, apparently disc mounts were extensively tested, but 'unlikely to make production'

lovely BMW porn;
Sorry mate but I'm not keen on halflink chains.
Had one on my MTB for a bit but the bugger just wouldn't stop stretching

I always find they look good, albeit a bit blingy.

I reckon it's 'Oil-Bluing'.. dip it in some oil / chemicals first.Just heating. I did it at school. Use a torch and heat the metal. I did it at school. Colours go from red to blue to white. White means you've melted it. I wouldn't be surprised if that bike snapped at some point because of the heated spots.

Very similar frame design/geometry to the one I sold to harry.major.
Except mine was made by either joe waugh or dave yates and had a little wider wheelbase (slacker fork I think). I'd buy one again if it came my way, it was a wicked bike. Except I like my '06 langster even more... :D

What´s up with the front fork? Are you supposed to adjust the wheel horizontally?
Looks like a case of copy paste from the rear dropouts...You are correct, sir! It's actually a vertical adjustment, and used for fine-tuning the steering angle for different tracks. A bolt-on hub grips enough not to slide around. Of no use for road tho.

Nice bike, super-stealth.
On another point, IT'S FUCKING SNOWING! -
• #10043
Bus for me this morning, then... I hate wearing a suit to work.
It's no problem riding in the dry, but when I could go casual I used to bike in any weather. I'd love to have a ride through the snow.

That Colnago is fantastic. The handlebars are bloody ugly though, and look more garage tidy hooks than handlebars.

I agree about the cables / pipes. Lose them, the discs & geared hub.
I do like how the guards are mounted though.

they've basically built the thing to look like the car. decadent, ugly shite.
when car companies attempt to do bikes the results are usually abominable.
interesting, heat spots from the torch, on the bare frame, then painted, then matt clearcoat. i like the idea.
