it's one of the worst things i've ever seen, outstripping pengy itself. the strangest thing is the mixture of super high-end bespoke and barrel-scrapingly generic parts. a mess.

Tasteless piece of bling with fake-tan highlights.

what does all that wire do!! They are as thick as sausages! Is it worth that much because the wheels make it fly?

Stainless steel braiding covering the brake and gear cables.

just found this, i quite like
Its an Icarus.
Looks like the about the 4th one Boots has ever made. They are custom frames made very slowly by a Builder who trained under Yamaguchi based in Boston ATM. Never ridden one, but I'm told they are lush as. Really well made, to the clients spec and everything (they don't normally have the split seat-tube).
If the waiting list weren't in years I'd be in the queue. Not cheap either. But I really love the hand cut Brass head badges on the 1st few Icaruses.
As you can tell, I do want one.

Get a black saddle on it and give it the rosette.

How does the front brake work? Isn't the cable supposed to 'aim' downwards? It confuses my non-engineering brain.
I am a fan of front brake only.
-
• #10070
it goes down the hollow stem, like the old bmx stylee, bar spins etc...

Yup, exactly like the old bmx front brakes. I had to flip the nuts so that I could run the cable in from the bottom. That way it pulls much better and the cable/nut doesn't foul the frame when doing barspins.
It works pretty well considering and didn't take too much to get it working. -

not sure if anyone will remember this, but a good while ago somewhere in this thread was a auberginey bike that was apparently reflective.. i've tried searching for it but can't find it.. if anyone remembers it and could pull the post up that would be great
