the Colnago is likely to be carbon fibre tubing glued to aluminum lugs given that's what Alan are well known for. Figure painting the carbon fibre tubing is kind of defeating the point of the frame

Other than the brooks saddle, I think it's pretty nice.
Especially our local koens' orange n white with matching shoes might I add hahaHaving now looked at the Current projects thread i have slightly revised my opinion on the silver BMW, as the photos on there do it much more justice - however i still prefer them dark and dirty to silver and shiny
Yeah i like Koens - that silver BMW is just to clean looking, nice parts, just not right for than bike IMO
I love the frame on this one - raw steel

so where's the problem.
conversions are even better for the streets than trackbikes,
the frames & forks are made for the road.eventhough a nice picture for bike workshop!

from the ebay thread combining two frame builders I have a lot of time for (Colnago designed Alan built) with a bit of variation from the norm (check out the down tube)...
This may be my favourite bike ever.

Are those brooklyns different frames? The first one looks like it has a more severe angle of the top tube.

id go out on a limb and say that because brooklyns are all custom

Joe doesn't do custom geometry...gangstas are all made to one of three sizes now...the reason they look different now is because more people are buying the 50cm version....hence the top tube slopes less.Brooklyns are hand made but they're not full custom.

how much is the brooklyn fork alone ?Can't remember what price they settled on for the fork....but you can get it with canti mounts or without....not sure if he's offering it yet with disc mounts but he was talking about it a couple of years ago.

oh i love that colonago, i would buy it in a second. i like the frame geometry, and the forward slowing top tube, and i think the diameter of all the tubing makes the frame look really ridgid and balanced.
not keen on the stem/bar combo, but i love everything else. not a quintessential colnago design, but i dont know if thats neccessarily a bad thing, somtimes they look cheesy as fuck.
i also really like the bike with the bent seat tube connected to the seat stays. really aggressive/unique looking.
probably not porn but holy shit do i want to ride it.
