Thanks for this.
It's a bit fishy I think. No feedback profile, marital troubles as an excuse but 1990 as a username. It's probably alright, but I'd asking some probing questions about the build and receipts and stuff just to be sure.
I emailed for more info on the bike and the reply was he didn't know anything as he was selling it for his dad.

Lots of alarm bells.

best avoided then, unless he can produce a receipt?

Leave the poor kid alone, his parents are going through some shit.
Seriously though, unless you can get him to put you in contact with his dad, I'd steer well clear.

get the frame no. on pretext of making sure it's not fake, get in touch with Bob Jackson, ask them to contact original owner to make sure it's not nicked?

I would have bid if it was the right size... but seems reasonable.

Ahh, the perils of having the same usernames... :P
That Leader was lovely, but not entirely convinced it was £310 lovely... :$
There's a nice Basso Loto finishing in a day or so but it's quite a large frame...

made my day:) -

^^thank you for that...in stitches!
Also seems a good idea, ask for a bit of history on the frame some papers etc.
What are you thinking, "1990" suggests that they're ~22 years old, robbed the bike and flogging it on eBay?
"cash only to avoid mishaps" potentially could be true, cynic in me says dodgy doesn't want to be traced
