I should've followed all of that advice on the Vitus 979. That was a beautiful bike in superb condition.

The best part of manual sniping is when you place a bid and the ebay tells you you need to log in...
Ha yea.
Or,
- manual sniping, getting the "you have been outbid" 2 seconds from the end (with someones max bid no doubt being 2 times as much as the item is worth, just because they can) then frantically trying to insert a massively inflated, well over budget bid that will never get through in time anyway.
Or,
- auto sniping. Logging into your email to find out that the bloody thing could not log into your ebay account properly and the item of course selling well below price.
Fuckers. I aint won no ebay bike bits in the last couple of months. I'm starting to feel like this addiction is wasting a lot of time...cheap though.

They can be good. That looks low end to me, but I'm not well versed in old steel if I'm honest. It's an OK price for a fully functioning bike though, IMO.

-Yes, auto sniping is boring.
-Max bid early on just gets chipped away as said.
-All the excitement is had sitting infront of that countdown timer when it turns red, palms sweaty, heart pounding...
i'm done with that "excitement". i have a free unlimited sniper on linux. max bid to -3 seconds, do what i have to do and when i get home i might have a good surprise.

the harry quinn seems ok as casasteve said and is certainly low spec. The main problem with it is its size, unless you are a small women, a very small man or a baby I wouldn't buy it!

the lamp bracket, suicide levers and pressed dropouts are thumbprints of a standard 70s gaspipe bike. i reckon you could do better for £75.

That Quinn is more than likely a Clements-era Quinn. Not the real deal. Ask for the frame number before committing to travel.

That Alan does have holes in the downtube. The seller said that they were where the original levers were....
remove from watch list I reckon

Not really a place for wants, but if someone happens to see this while scouring ebay please let me know.
If anyone comes across a ladies bike, for getting around, will convert to SS, lighter the better, sub 200(ish). Something around a 52 frame, for a 5"6' lady. -
