Fuckers. I aint won no ebay bike bits in the last couple of months. I'm starting to feel like this addiction is wasting a lot of time...cheap though.
Funny to read this as I was just thinking how stupidly expensive high end bike parts go for the last couple of months... It's like all fair weather cyclists want to get ready for the beginning of summer, no matter what it costs.By the way how much would you guys pay for a nice Shamal clincher wheelset from the late 80's in good condition ?
Recent auctions go from £350 to £500+, which is IMHO quite mental. -

£594 in the end. None FC, but still- that's barely more than some PX wheels.

Ermmm, starting to feel it's a little counterproductive posting anything in this thread... :(
All three bikes at tthe top of the page were in my watch list...
Possibly the reason I (and others) are not winning anything on the bay is because we keep flaunting our finds to loads of other Bike afficionados?
just sayin...

^George me old mate - don't forget you've paid me for those golden arrow cranks...
We'll have to work out a time to get them to you. -

Poorly listed items and irregular end times (e.g. 6am), daft job lots, bad photos etc are always worth bidding on - but don't post them here beforehand!
Look out for 700c vintage wheels listed as 25" - the seller's clearly put a tape measure to the diameter in good faith, everyone steers clear - picked up some nice 25" Zeus/mavic track wheels for a tenner last year!
It's also great for getting shot of stuff you couldn't imagine anyone wanting - a Japanese gentleman purchased a Lucas aluminium bell from me last week for £17 - I couldn't imagine being able to give it away - I also sold a surplus handlebar/rod-brake combo from a raleigh superbe for £55 that I'd been unsuccessfully trying to freecycle for months!

Not really a place for wants, but if someone happens to see this while scouring ebay please let me know.
If anyone comes across a ladies bike, for getting around, will convert to SS, lighter the better, sub 200(ish). Something around a 52 frame, for a 5"6' lady.I'm not going in for this not helping each other out thing ;)
