I had a chat with Harry Rowland last year for building a pear of fixed wheels and he told me that Open-Pro can definitely be build to one of the strongest wheelsets…they are double eyeleted so they could afford lots of tensioning and take plenty of abuse…also the fact they can be relevantly flexible makes them more strong and also more comfortable…

Polish your rims instead of your nob over your rims once a week and i'm sure they'll stay shiney. Get the Shitolocity deep rims and look like every other prick on his christmas present from his girlfriend in advertising or do yourself a favour.

About to build a pair on Atlanta rims laced to Mavic hubs purely because they'll look cool and will get oohs and aahs at the pub.

The race wheels however will be more utilitarian and have a much different purpose.
