Why do you need to? If you drill them out properly the plate should remain intact.
dremeled it, so the bolt minus head remains in situ.. tried drilling but I think that would have melted the shoe after 5 mins.
I've just tightened the one bolt in for now using the 1/2 bolt to keep it straight.

Is there any free software/sites/apps that can do this:
-show up to 15 rides gpx routes together onto a single google map type background with full zoom in and out ability
-show the routes in different colours so I can tell each ride apart. I know veloviewer lets you group multiple rides on a page but they are all one colour so its hard to distinguish one ride from another?
-be able to add in multiple points/labels along the gpx route so they show on the map, like points of interest/pubs/cafes etcDoes such a thing exist? It all sounds perfectly feasible in my mind, but there's often a disconnect between that and the real world.

GB Cycles sell de rosa and I think they have a sale on if you want to avoid shipping
Thanks for the response. The one I just saw was 1.5k, so not the same ballpark. But Cheers.

You can sometimes buy mini screw driver sets from a pound shop for a urrr, pound.
- and a card of 30 or so batteries while you're there.
http://www.watchbattery.co.uk/Replace-Watch-Battery.shtml covers most of it, and a thin smear of petroleum jelly on any O rings / seals should preserve any 'waterproof' capability.

I am building up a PX Kaffenback with brifters and want to go down the v-brake route rather than cantis. What are the merits of mini v brakes vs. std length v-brakes?
Thanks... -
• #55507
Std length V-brakes are handy for clearly big chunky tyres. If you have sufficient clearance with mini-Vs, then standard Vs will have no benefit at all and will suffer from the considerable downside of requiring more cable pull than brifters are able to provide.
In other words, don't use std. length V-brakes unless you want to include a bodge like a Travel Agent to alter the pull ratio of the brake levers.

My Exposure Flare keeps switching off. I've cleaned it thoroughly and that helped but did not fix it.
Considering a Lezyne Micro to replace it. Reasons not to? -

Depends on shipping?
the shop has quite a few, might be worth a visit, they're nice in there

The map you see is openstreetmap, other maps are available. With google earth as opposed to google maps, you can open numerous gpx files and colour them as required.

The sirrus comes in many iterations starting at £300, the ebay advert is not detailed enough to give an opinion imho.

I will visit my local Evans and see if they got it in stock. Unless someone will post something better. I'm interested in any hybrid bike. -

Ha, true.
So. Anyone shipped from Italy before? Tips?

Is there an easy formula or anything that'll tell me what length square taper bottom bracket to buy to put an Uno chainring attached to a Middleburn RS7 crank in the same place as the Renthal ring mounted on the middle ring position of a Deore HT2 crank currently occupies?
-
• #55519
Mathematicians have never tackled that particular question, because why the fuck would anybody spend that much money making their chainset worse?

Yes. Don't bother.

Because I need to replace the Renthal ring anyway and I need cranks for my speedway bike.
The Middleburn set up (used, chainring very lightly) cost me less than those things combined and I've always wanted a set. If they are that much worse then the speedway bike can get them and the Deore HT2s will go back on the Surly.

To give them a wider gear range than they would have with doubles.

What's the best recipe for pearl barley soup? I've got 800g of pearl barley thanks to L'Eroica, and feel I ought to try using it.

Yes. Don't bother.
I will pass on the info.
