Sigma and Velosport have them too
That's where i borrowed them from -

Sounds great to me.
I like my slr flow carbonio for being flexy but it's even more expensive.
If the new flite feels like slr flow then i want to try it.
Give me a shout if your brother doesn't get on with it.It's extremely similar to the SLR XP Flow I was using before, but slightly wider at the rear. My issue with the flex is that on a long ride I start to feel the points where the rear of the rails meets the shell pressing into me and it gets uncomfortable. But I am relatively heavy, I'm sure for lighter riders that wouldn't happen so much (if at all).

Right, I need some opinions on what to try next. I'm getting some gooch pain and numbness and I don't like it.
I've tried the following saddles:
Spec Toupe 143 - not nice, the edges of the cutouts seemed to be creating pressure hotspots and gooch pain which would last a long time after getting off the bike.
CSN K6 saddle from Ribble - similar (but not as bad as) the toupe.
Charge Spoon - Surprisingly not too bad, but think I like to be able to shift fore/aft rather than being held in a curvy hammock.
Selle Italia SL XC - Gooch destroyer. 20 miles and I was numb.
Fizik Arione - Good, but feels like it might not be wide enough, unwanted gooch pressure noticeable after fairly short rides.
Planet X Superlight - best so far. Luckily got one of these for my roadie shortly before I went on a big tour last month and it was bliss. Almost spot on.
I think I generally like a flatter saddle, like the arione or px, but feel like I need a little more width than the arione provides. Far as I can work out, the PX is about 10mm wider than the arione.
However, I can't get hold of a px saddle anywhere. Would the Fizik Antares be analogous to the PX, or better? Any other recommendations based on the above list of what does and doesn't work?

antares is defo wider and offers more than the arione if thats what you need. having similar probs to you. am going for zonc's and SLR's next. cut outs for the win.

Romin (buy the right width).

Hmm, might have to give 'em a go. Is the Romin markedly different from the toupe? Had heard/read great things about it, but it absolutely ruined my gooch.
I did the tinfoil/staircarpet sitbone test and it appears a 143 is the best for my arse. Anyone got a 143 romin or antares kicking about? Could swap for an Arione or goochbreaking SL XC...

I have a black Romin Expert (Ti rails) and maybe a white Romin Pro (carbon rails) that are surplus to requirements, both 143mm.

Sanddancer, you have PM re: the Ti Romin.

• #989
Romin is not that different to the Toupe to be honest. Main difference is that the Toupe is flatter. If you had discomfort from the edges of the channel on the Toupe you'll probably have the same on the Romin. It's one of the few things I don't like about the Romin actually, it's normally unnoticeable but occasionally I feel it.

Hmm, cheers for the advice. We'll see what sanddancer has to say about price... Hopefully I can buy, try and shift on for the same money if I don't get on with it.
Regal, have you tried an Antares Versus? The channel edges look a little more forgiving than those of the Toupe but I've not seen the Vs in real life.

No, I haven't. Based on experience it looks very promising, but with saddles you just never really know until you ride, do you?

Got a second hand Rolls Due on a new build, not going to be keeping it for long! Doesn't suit my arse at all.

In my experience, the pseudo cut-out does absolutely nothing - but it looks cool. Looks a bit more pronounced on the antares vs the arione, so might be a better option.

So I'm searching for an classic flite locally and someone offered me Flite Classic Flow.
