What are they doing in the middle of HH?

Can't get my head around this. Looks like it is pushing the outer rather than pulling the inner. Really looks wrong. Must have something to do with the bit of cable between both parts of caliper? Or maybe the Budweiser Budvar is screwing with me?
That is how all cross top levers work. It allows the levers to be used in conjunction with drop bar levers.

Need a few updates to my daily now that summer's almost here
a slightly taller gear and possibly a brake as I'll be doing a few more miles on it this year. Could do with some new tyres too i think

Yeah when i pull it the hole cable outer moves, as i obviously only pull it when holding the tops i need to make sure i move the figure on my right hand so the cable has room to move, bit weird but works.

There's also quite a lot of excess cable. If you switched it onto the left side / proper position then you would also be able to reduce the length of the cable housing. Better pads make a difference. If you don't want to spend as much as Swiss stops then fibrax are good and very cheap (although they wear out fast).
Yeah i'll go see if my lbs has any tomorrow.
I did try the lever on the 'right side' and i didn't like it, if i had a classic road bar with more room on the top, then yeah id move it.

Chainring bolts with a slot in the nuts are a shit design, the Truvativ ones which use two hex keys are vastly superior. BBB make them in Aluminium, for weight weenies.
I cannot agree with the first part of this statement more. It's reminded me of the trauma last time I had to tighten my traditional ones, so I'm going to order a set of those right now in anticipation of next time.
What are they doing in the middle of HH?
This. Mini, non-banked track?

spin-to-win.....
In all seriousness I love the gear for riding around town. Quick to accelerate and will do 18-20mph no problem.

Anyone know if these are double-allen bolts? Or where I can get them for a single ring?
