  • I'm just putting my shoes on to go to Primrose Hill to get some. Yum.

  • after a week back home with filter coffee i've just bought a hario v60, roll on saturday morning with big cup and a crossword

can def recommend it. so much quicker to use than a stove top, so my coffee intake has increased... nice full bodied cup with no acidy(?) aftertaste at all

  • I want to try this. Where can I get this?

The fact that it comes in a carton makes it all the more appealing.

there's a deli in St Pancras Stn that is getting it along with Harvey Nicks and Whole Food Markets has also taken them on.

  • I've got loads of nice ground coffee that I'm never going to use- it's just sitting in my fridge, who wants it?

  • yer.

  • Rob- you want?

  • yes please, I can collect when I visit your site?

  • Bon, give me a shout when inbound.

  • Question here chaps if anyone can help, I'm looking for a 2 group commercial machine, semi auto or lever press, good extraction, blah blah.. Any ideas of decent 2nd hand retailers or sources to pick one up... Thanks

  • World Coffee Services (where I bought the Bez from) website appears to have disappeared.

  • So beans to cup machines?

    Any opinions?

This is for my *work *not for my home.

  • ^ kinda wish our lavazza machine at work didn't come with such good customer service, then I could argue for a better machine as it needs replacing for de-scaling every 2 months at least

  • Popping into monmouth on way to work tomorrow. any recommendations what I should try next in my aeropress?

So far I've had the espresso blend (awesome) and the santa clara (nice but not fantastic)

  • Been off all week, but Ethiopia Yirgacheffe should be in, It's delicious. Sumatra Batak Toba is at the other end of the spectrum - intense pungent berry fruit, heavy and earthy, a real standout coffee.

  • How much does 250g of Monmouth beans cost if bought in store e.g. espresso blend or Peruvian El Guabo? Can't find the prices on their site.

  • Most of their beans are ~£20-23/kg

  • think house 250g is £4-£4.50? cheaper if you buy 500g/kilo

  • Thanks, both.

  • Monmouth Batak Toba, Indonesian/Sumatran..

    Different.. Bloody nice different.

Went for the Yirgacheffe and I am very impressed, nice broad fruity kind of flavour to it. very similiar to the ethiopian coffee they use at prufrock in their siphons (although theirs would be square mile beans).

  • goes well with my homemade banana & honey bread too.

  • if anyone's in the area try the euston tap craft ale house - coffee mornings between 7.30 and 11.45 - often very good single origin monmouth's available

  • Which reminds me.. Something I thought of whilst spotting in the spotted thread.. Seems a few of us drop by Monmouth Borough for a coffee before work.. With this in mind

    LFGSS Friday coffee mornings

    Monmouth Borough. 7.30 onwards

Do a coffee. Do a pastry. Do a skid..

    Anyone?

No lists. Just swing by confident that anyone on a bike will be off here.

I'll bump later in the week
