anyone ever made chocolate covered coffee beans. thinking about attempting it in a bit, protips?
protip, you need way more chocolate than youd expect, 600g of chocolate made the thinnest coating on 250g of beans. also, more effort than its worth.

I'm selling a 5 year old Rancillio Silvia. Good condition, well looked after and had no problems since I bought it. I'll throw in a good tamper, a milk jug plus 2 portafilters (standard and bottomless).
I'm happy to demonstrate, there are a few tricks to using the Silvia to it's best potential.Bombcup advised that a fair price for these second hand is £250. Can do pictures this lunchtime.

My wife bought me the Handpresso Domepod for my birthday. Fuck yeah! I already had a Porlex mini ceramic grinder, so now that's me set for decent affordable espresso on Saturdays at lunchtime at work; and at lunchtimes during the week if I manage to get a new post with normal (family-friendly) hours.
Happy.
Let us know how you get on with this.

possibly more for Manchester folks, coffeefix in gatley is hosting pics by crankphoto, exhibition called foto velo. there's some really good action shots from the big meets at the velodrome, each available to buy also limited to 5 numbered prints of each shot, #1 being a bit pricier...
damn fine coffee too, as always.

Hmmm.....hmmmm......could be interested
This would free up my Gaggia Baby Class and I would do a cracking deal on that for £80 - once owned by Velocio and repaired with by hippy's magical hands. The machine is a forum legend.
Coffee machine purchasing chain anyone?

Would have to be pick-up/meet-up - posting would be a pain for various reason.

I imagine they'd be tricky to post and assure safe arrival, so no worries.

Best OTP IC outside Oz.
i gave you the heads up for this on the ausso thead...
jeez, a thankyou would have been nice.

It's the way of the forum. Scoble plagiarises all posts giving advice, and hippy is so orally fixated it overwhelms his faculties for memory and gratitude.

I want to try this. Where can I get this?
The fact that it comes in a carton makes it all the more appealing.

Selfridges.
They were going to be out of Selfridges by this weekend, according to whoever mans their twitter feed. But if you check their site there's two places in north london doing it and more to come.

just picked up me first batch of Square Mile spring espresso blend - quite a sweet, malty blend with some very subtle sharp fruit notes… nice…
I'll try to give this a go too.

I might have to ride into the office to rescue those cartons.
Cheers - thats the kind of thing I am after but second hand if possible- ie I have <£100 budget :)
