HTC Desire (2.2), is it possible to reduce the number of homescreens does anyone know? I definitely don't need seven.

Cyanogenmod :)

You'd need to replace the Home app with something else. LauncherPro or ADW (cyanogen uses this).

Yeah it's meant to be shit. What's the point installing a beta if it's worse than the stock browser.

Im just saying it's out. I dont use it o.O
-

I think everyone knows it's out. No one is talking about it because it's still pretty flakey.

I don't mind it to be honest. I prefer Sense but ADW is VERY customisable.
Running on my girl's i7500 at the moment actually. -

I use launcher pro... it just seems faster than ADW to me

Damn I want that Espresso doppio, the figures sound great let's hope it performs as well as they say.

Yep
:(
Thinking of ordering one on our account at work to see what it's like. They say November at the earliest, despite Voda claiming to be shipping sometime after the 14th Oct. I guess November meets that definition...

It was Oct 13th, then Oct 6th, now mid-Oct to early Nov.

Motorola Droid Pro is an effort that positions itself as an enterprise focused competitor to Blackberry.
I think it has possibilities, but Blackberry's security is legendary, so the Droid Pro needs to be very special.

T-Mobile getting the HTC Desire HD within a few weeks, but Vodafone may have them first.
Amazon planning their own Android Apps Store?Dell Streak gets unofficial Froyo 2.2.
(Budget?) LG Optimus Froyo 2.2 phone available by Xmas.
EDIT:
Sony-Ericsson is launching the X8, which is a budget phone, again stuck with the 1.6 OS. This has given the rise to opinion, that SE has botched their Android stategy. A roadmap has shown no Froyo for any SE phone till possibly 2011, if at all. Its got so bad, that in America the X10 is being sold with contract for 1 cent (a penny, as they call it). This is even though the phone is still one of the most expensive to buy sim-free.With all of this in mind, I'm going to make a prediction. I think SE must have a new top-end phone under wraps, that will look to take on the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Droid X, and even the HTC Desire HD. If I'm wrong, SE are sunk. They'll fall so far behind, they won't even be a blip on the radar. Its sink or surf for them.

Sony Ericsson LiveView acts as a 1.3-inch remote control for your smartphone, requires Android 2.0
If this works half well, and has decent battery life, I would imagine it could be pretty useful. good for riding, for instance without needing to dig out your phone
you could use a task manager, and set it to only kill those apps? Not perfect, but a solution?
