  • and then a full discussion on an internet forum, following by a disaproval from bikesnobnyc who wrote a 3 pages article on it, 3 months later, finally the bike is actually been build up.

Did bikesnob write about your drawing?

  • nah it was a joke.

  • Ah well, it's not even built yet... stick some Knogs and a Spok on it and maybe...

    ;-)

  • Are you specifying any tasty extras on your frame ed?

    A la HHSBob!;

just my sizing and measurement, sadly I forget to ask them not to put the BLB sticker on as well as the bottle mount at the time as I was more worry about trying to get the money, but ah well, doesn't matter really.

  • So it's the BLB spec, like those featured on their site?

I would have probably gone for Paul track ends if I was ordering now.

exactly like those featured on their site, ironically cheaper than buying an OTP BJ frame that cost £450ish (or was it £420?) at BLB, Cavendish Cycle, etc.

  • Yeah. Patience is a virtue. Good choice.

When it comes to stocking Bob Jacksons... I think London bike shops have been doing well out of impulse buys by people know don't know very much and have just decided they want. People just point at a frame in their favorite colour!

  • no, no, no people like to do computer images of this weeks cool stuff.......

  • what a load of shit.....this is just stupid.Do you have ADD?Can you not hold a picture in your mind of how your bike will look?
    Get a fucking life....

    1) Its the drawing for the painter. He needed a visual idea of how much of each colour would be present on the frame

    2) It really helped in deciding what colour to have the front wheel painted.

    3) I enjoyed doing it. Is it really more stupid/sad then comming on a forum to rant about other peoples interpretations of the same interest as you?

  • where did you get that new chain guard?

its not new just the old one re sprayed.

  • Did the same thing a while ago, spend too much time on it thought!

    Those bars look wankety-wank

  • I am intending to build my first single speed. I am figuring that a good place to start is a frame. This is what I am looking at for a starter. All I know is that its a kitching and its cheep.

Any pointers as to the quaility and sutability of this as a frame?

Where's the fluted seat tube ed? FAIL.

Looks all good except the wanky bars + stem. I know you won't but please don't put wanky Ourys on a BJ.

    +1

What is wrong with planning/drawing the bike that you plan to spend alot of money/time on!?

  • My RIH. Scored the frame, cranks and a wheel set (different to the wheels seen here) via the forum last December. Super nice ride!

Planned upgrade include new wheels, headset, stem and mirror polishing the cranks.

... and sorting out that seat angle.

  • sah-weet

  • b4b is that chainring in the 50's? Lovely bike!

  • Bob Jackson + any hipster/HHSB paraphernalia = MASSIVE DAMAGE

  • Its a 51 at the moment (old man anti spinning). Switching down to a 47-48 on the weekend... when I get enough coin!

  • The RIH really fucking lust, I'm always a fan of their paintjob.

Soyo grips, the bars and stem look better in person really.

    yes.
please dont put a yellow chain on there, most of all.

  • Ah it suppose to be gold actually, couldn't find it in the Pedal ID site, so yellow is the closet match, and it's gold-coloured for a technical reason, not appearance (surprisingly light for a chain!).

  • gold for a technical reason hey?

  • gold for a technical reason hey?

unless it did come in silver, then a massive fail on my part!
