  • Err.

    That Claude Butler Electron

It's never going to fit me. Damn my ebay trigger finger.

  • old rescued peugeot, just need to sort the brakes but i lost the centre pul extra cable and get a chain.

    laydeeee bike

    sorry for poor photos

where did you get that new chain guard?

  • first fixed in the projects
    trying to make it cheap

    ">

    • i've heard that some carlton bottom brackets can't be changed. is this true?
      mine look like this

    ">http://

    ">

  • that can come out.....a pain in the ass but it can come out

  • how??

  • cut the axle off, and stick it in a vice then twisty/turny

  • Here is what I'm intending the new build to look like, but with black tyres probably. I'm not very good with photoshop. I just coloured in some one else's drawing of a bike ('ta Jack). Its gonna be sweeeettttt...

  • how??

find a nice proper bike shop....one that smells of inner tubes, tyres ad oil....and they should have a tool to fit it....or cut the axle off and stick it in a vice and twist it off.
Don't bother with evans etc...you need a proper bike shop!

  • +1 to the half chain links

is like a have my lo-pro

    Two words...

Harry that paint scheme would look fantastic, gonna take Stylist trophy for the most recognisable bike in London? (before it got hit by a car obviously).

  • HM, if you're fussed and want to have another crack, that bike was originally done on pedal ID

you'll still need to shange the colours of the frame etc though

    student budget fixie project...and first.
    1977 motobecane mirage frame
    charge dish rims
did have a lovely nervar crank but couldnt get a new chainring for it, had an old virtuoso crank set so put that on easier and cheaper to find chainring.

  • Nice work.

You'll probably want a bigger chainring at some point. Also when that chain's dead maybe swap it for a normal one, and use a single half link in it if you need to. Cheaper, lighter, stronger.

Well done for getting you hands dirty and not just spunking your loan on a hyped-to-death off-the-peg 'fixie'.

  • Already know where the frame is and front wheel as for the cranks not 100% set on them.
As for the back wheel, also know where is.
bars where one of things i was a bit :s on was concidering getting some nitto ones and getting them anodized

Why wouldn't you use a £4 worth of bar cloth you tart?

    ;-)

  • Its gonna be sweeeettttt...

    Wankfantasybike™ crayon contest!

    !!!FIGHT!!!

  • isn't that exactly what he did? build the bike at pedal ID and then photoshop it a bit to his specification?

  • Drawn in tip-ex, while on detention I reckon.

    :o

  • Wankfantasybike™ crayon contest!

    !!!FIGHT!!!

what a load of shit.....this is just stupid.Do you have ADD?Can you not hold a picture in your mind of how your bike will look?
    Get a fucking life....

  • Did the same thing a while ago, spend too much time on it thought!

  • aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.....next step will be those fucking "finger bikes" or "tech bikes".....

  • Did the same thing a while ago, spend too much time on it thought!

Didn't spend too much time on the perspective of the bars though.

Oi, Harry, you should do a lilac to yellow instead, just to sit nicely against the pink you currently have. Thats my 2 dorrar worth.

  • aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.....next step will be those fucking "finger bikes" or "tech bikes".....

and then a full discussion on an internet forum about which handlebar to put on the bike for a couple weeks, following by a disapproval from bikesnobnyc who wrote a 3 pages article on it, 3 months later, finally the bike is actually been build up. the next months it's sold on ebay for 3x Bianchi Pista price.
