I have done Festive 500 on a 10km route.

You are a track cyclist at heart

Next blocker (to get me past 24x24) will be the small tile containing Wimbledon Tennis. I think it might be possible to just clip it scrabbling around the NE of Somerset House off Cedar Court/Somerset Road but not sure
It's possible, so nothing holding me back now (apart from the North and West blockers).

Ha - I bagged the same tile by the same route last week. Was pleased with that one.
I'm curious what your plan is for the Roehampton club though...

It's a half arsed plan but I know a couple of members (they're parents from my daughter's old [state] primary school) and so I was just going to ask if I could walk round with them next time they play golf - no intention of playing myself.
More than likely I'll just abandon it though. Like the 2 ungettable tiles in the Wetlands centre it's much easier to just focus on what is easy to get. You can't ever be held back in extending your yard(inho).

Fair enough. I was thinking of charming a groundsman at the priory lane entrance, but really can't be bothered (for now!)

For the wetlands centre, why not just ride there and ask a member of staff if they could take your gps around with them whilst they do their thing?
There is a cafe there that you could hang in for a bit.
I'm sure they might be friendly about it. Unless they get inundated with requests for similar, which I doubt...

Personally I think I would just pay to go in. They have Sea Otters, which are the most densely furred animal in the world, as well as being very cute. What's not to like?

Against the rules. I haven't been there under human power if they do it.

I was in that place in 1999 on a school trip. Is it ok if I add my past activity manually? No. Please add only activities that you personally recorded with your phone or another GPS tracking device.
"If I just wanted a GPS trace it's trivial to fake one, but that's not the point. There are also tiles I seem to have got because of GPS jitter and I'm slowly finding them and removing those activities.
I'll go to the Wetlands at some point. I used to go all the time when MiniGB was younger. We were members for a few years. It's just ~£20 for the sake of being able to extend my square 1 tile North. It can wait until I'm stuck somewhere South/East.
Also got to go wandering across bits of Richmond Park Golf Club as that's limiting the Westerly progress of the square by 1, but there are service roads to wander along and it's not exactly as exclusive or well secured as the Roehampton Club. I could also just pay to play a round there, they won't be too fussed about my shit golfing. The two Eastern most tiles I need are pretty simple and don't need me to venture far into the course.

ah, I am not familiar with the rules, but of course the spirit of the game still counts!
Also, if you've been before, £20 is pretty darn steep...

RWGPS plugin isn’t working for me, is it just me?

Gee why is it always so buggy Veloviewer appears to be showing my max square as well only 38x38 due to some random square now not being collected in clay gate lol

Sunday afternoon stroll with my missus. Bushwhacking though an overgrown and forgotten corner of a cemetery.

Tide not low enough. Was taunted by bloke in a canoe. Very low tide due on Jan 16th, of that doesn't work I need to find a canoe.

Did you get the one to the East of that one from the walkway outside the Oxo tower? Been wondering about that one...

We need to do a LFGSS river crawl to bag some of these. Pedalos?

By my reckoning there are only about 3 or 4 Thames tiles that aren't gettable on terra firma or at low tide between Syon House until you get round to the Eastern side of the Isle of Dogs.
- The Northern most two between Westminster and Lambeth bridges
- The one north of ITV (the one jellybaby's map shows above)
The one West of the Millenium Bridge looks doable at low tide (according to the satellite view on Squadrats).
A couple of others I have (just East of Battersea Power Station) are a bit dubious. Looks like I've got them because I used to commute along the North side of the river and random GPS jitter has pushed some traces over South enough. But the satellite view shows low tide is good enough to get them if access is ok. Similarly the one a bit further East and just North of the Heathwall Pumping Station.

Got my first square today.
