TBH, whilst there's no justification, grabbing the arsehole driver's wing mirror was obviously going to lead to an escalation. Do we know if the rider who was rear ended is okay?

It doesn't say the driver didn't go to court explicitly, but yea, cyclists seem to be fair game.
