14yo stabbed to death on a London bus. Just unfathomably tragic

There's so much smoke at the moment - it's dark outside at 9am.

I hope you're doing ok! Are you under evacuation order? Looks like the hills we were riding ages ago are all basically on fire from the maps.

Yeah - just very windy and heavy smoke where we are. Both the Palisades and Altadena look awful. Huge burns in both.

Good to hear you're doing ok. Really hope the winds die down soon.

Celebrities
The tragically sad thing is 'famous people in trouble' will probably have more of an impact on peoples views of climate change / wildfires than anything else.

Really needs to be happening in Florida to get a bit closer to influencing policy.

Trump continually talking about annexing Greenland is just bizarre. As things stand, it seems unlikely he could actually do it (but the U.S. constitution is actually vague about what kind of aggressive actions a president can initiate, and there's the annexation of the Philippines and the invasion of Haiti as precedents), but how would the rest of the world react if he did manage it?
It's easy to dismiss it as one of those things he just makes noise about to make noise, but his second term isn't going to be like his first.

I wonder if he starts the move by nuking Copenhagen?
Man, LA is lit up like the gates of fucking hell. Amazing scenes.
