  • Slightly niche kink but I can work with it

  • This is hilarious on several levels, and the angry gnomes of the DM comments section are beside themselves- apparently the Royal family is ‘Marxist’ now. Well done, Comrade the Queen.

She's been playing the long game... waiting for someone like Boris and his gang to screw everything up so she can announce the People's Republic of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I'd like to think Andrew is also part of it, making it easier for the people who used to like the royal family to transition to a new Marxist state.

  • I read an article about 10 years ago suggesting that captured co2 could be 'stored' on sea beds

  • One of the nightmare climate change scenarios is that huge reserves of C02 trapped in the oceans will suddenly be released. Adding more down there is a very fragile solution even if practical.

  • antivax smoothbrains think they can bring london to its knees by... pressing all the pedestrian crossing lights at the same time.

  • Room temperature IQs at play.

You do wonder if anyone actually took part. Did they take the morning off of work? Did they leave the house, telling their kids they’re going to change the world?

  • it is of course entirely possible that this is all fakey fakes because of the lie-ridden hell world we live in etc.

  • I mean, it was horrible today. You rode up to a junction, and first one direction of vehicular traffic got green, then another, and maybe another depending on the junction, and then, THEN, suddenly pedestrians were allowed to cross, IN THEIR OWN SIGNAL PHASE. The world changed today, for good.

  • As we all know from Hackers, turning all the lights green so all the cars go and crash in the intersections is actually the correct way to go. Or the malfunctioning changing lights from the lesser Italian Job is also an option.

  • Combined with pressing the door close buttons in all of the lifts, it just might work.

  • Just turning the traffic lights off would cause lots of chaos. The electrical supply point is obvious and not 'locked'. Wouldn't cause any damage but is probably illegal in some way but that frequently doesn't put off protesters. A fairly small group could probably turn off junctions far faster then the maintenance people could turn them back on.

  • You only need to disrupt a few junctions, Blackwell tunnel, Brent Cross, The Westway and London would gridlock,
20 years ago an overweight lorry blocked the Blackwall tunnel at about 16:00 and East London was solid till midnight. I’m not sure how satnav/Waze would make this better or worse.

  • Waze has been shit for me lately, don't trust it anymore...

  • Traffic has been shit and enough people are using Waze and the secret rat runs that you get no advantage anymore.

I hate Waze for other reasons. The app encourages drivers to interact with it while driving. Should be banned.

  • The app encourages drivers to interact with it while driving. Should be banned.

I totally agree with that, it's bonkers... I was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway this afternoon, got off it as quickly as I could and eventually Waze realised I didn't wanna get back on it so it took me home another way...

  • Theoretically you get the same Waze live traffic routing using Google Maps but without the interactive bullshit.

  • As we all know from Hackers

Wow! Random Gen X film flashbacks. God that was bad.

  • I cycled home past 6 miles of stationary traffic that day, South Quay to Roman Road. Tower Bridge was closed for repairs and some fuck knuckle drove a crane truck into the tunnel.

  • Orbital on the soundtrack!

  • God that was immense

    Truth

  • Similar happened a few weeks ago when there was a shower of rain. Took us 3 hrs to get from Poplar to Rotherhithe and the whole area was at a standstill for about 5 hrs.

  • Every song on the soundtrack is used perfectly in the film for me. I’ve said it before on here that it’s the best film ever made.

  • A good story at last, made even better because it probably makes that cunt f@rage froth at the mouth.
