I haven't received bleed tools with the two sets of Hope brakes I've ordered.

What do you mean by bleed tools? I ordered direct from Hope and they only came with bleed blocks.

This is how mine came from Hope:
Bleed blocks, 2 sets of pads, hose fittings, syringe and threaded tube

I didn't get the syringe bits or fittings.

I got a umbrella with mine but no bleed kit ! Its a very nice umbrella though 👆

I got the 2x pr pads, bleed blocks and hose fittings but no syringe or tube (which do just look chucked on top of Hope's normally well thought out retail packing?). Seems a bit random! No umbrella either.

Maybe just a freebie they chuck in when they have stock

You could do the same but with less hassle by taking the fork out on most carbon frames.

We should definitely start a RX4 Brake club.
Ha, we really should.
This weekend I'm going to order the front flat mount caliper I need and purple bore caps for moar hhsrbness.
I'm probably just going to order the bore cap tools too, I'd been waiting to see if any more came up on ebay.
If and when I order them, if other folk are looking to change bore caps we could probably sort out some tool exchange. I'm not in London but could post the bore cap tools to anyone who needs them so long as they pinky promise to send them back to me...Unless anyone here already has the bore cap tools??

Anyone know anywhere that's selling 160mm Dura Ace rotors? Can't find them in stock anywhere.

I have TRP brake with Banjo, can I reuse the banjo and how is it installed?
-
• #7214
Trp Hylex post mount with banjo at the caliper?
What is it you want to do?
The banjo bolt can just be undone and the banjo removed and reattached.
But the banjo its self is crimped onto the hose and cant be removed.Edit - I used to own Hylex brakes and just remebered there is a banjo connection at the lever too depending on version.
I think if you have banjo at lever end then you wont have a banjo at the caliper end?

nah T4 Slate on cargo bike
The banjo bolt can just be undone and the banjo removed and reattached.
ah cool
-
• #7216
T4 Slate
ah right, yeah just undo it and reattach with no issue. Will likely need bleed afterwards though

@BareNecessities anything to add?
-
• #7218
Replace them with Quadiems
-
• #7219
But really, I've never done anything other than disconnect the hoses from the levers

Just wanted to check something before I drive myself mad trying to silence a very minor noise coming from my bike.
Rotors with lots of holes (more hole than metal) - is a clicking/catching noise something you just have to live with or fixable? Never had this problem with Shimano rotors and others in the past. Everything's all bedded in and I'm not getting the noise from the rear (same rotor and caliper). Thanks!
I UTFS'd but couldn't see anything so apologies if a repeat.

Bent rotor? Rotor bolts not tight enough? Misaligned caliper? Unevenly worn pads? Loose caliper bolt? Worn pads?
Nope, holes in rotor isn't the issue.

you know what, fuck TRP and the banjos, got Shimano MT420 with MT401 levers for £70 on Aliexpress
The need for 2.5m hose also made me take this plunge.

Including duty etc?
Those levers are flipping long though. You gonna set them up near the stem for full fakenger vibes?
I got my RX4s through my LBS, but I'm increasingly convinced they kept the bleed tools as I didn't get any. Bastards!
