Thanks both, will let them know and get back to you. @BossBoy101 are you in London?

Ah sorry, should have said - we're in Bristol/Cardiff so would need posting if you're in London. And thanks!

    On behalf of a friend

Looking for a 700c, Shimano free hub, disc wheelset.
Preferably: CL; QR; >20mm internal; black; cartridge bearings, but none of those are deal breakers.

    Thanks!

Nice one, I think that must have been it. Thanks

Remember seeing it in a post the other day but can't find it now - good, cheap (possibly generic) torch brand that uses standard rechargeable cells? Possibly Lumintop but it doesn't seem quite right

Ah ok, that's disappointing but valuable news.
Fix it in place with something like Loctite 641? Would you say it might be sensible to replace the bearing at the same time?
    Thanks for the help!

Yeah all seem to be, the play feels more like a 'clunk' from side to side, which makes me think it is more likely hub than spoke flex

Just reposting here from the mechanic + fixing thread to cover all bases.

I have a wheel built up on a Bitex RAR12 that has developed some lateral play, ~2-3 mm up near the brake bridge. I looked at all the bearings and they seem to be fine - spin smoothly - and the axle/ends caps are done up tightly. Anything else to look at? Is it likely the bearings are gone but I can only feel the wear when it's exaggerated out at the rim?

    Thanks!

I have a wheel built up on a Bitex BX106R that has developed some lateral play, ~2-3 mm up near the brake bridge. Sounds akin to the klunking of a loose headset when I set the rear of the bike down so I don't think it's flex in the spokes etc., pretty sure it's coming from the hub.
