  • It’s hard to make out the fact you have a wife.

  • It’s hard to believe the fact you have a wife.

    Miracles happen.

  • @inchpincher looks great.
What’s the deal with the seconds not hacking on the speedy? I went to try one the other day and was surprised to find that out. We learn something new every day I guess.

  • I think Timefactors have nailed this

  • Eh? There's no seconds hand. Edit: misunderstood what you meant loooooool

  • Although it doesn’t have a hacking seconds mechanism the freezing of the seconds hand can be achieved by pulling the crown and gently applying pressure as if you were about to wind the hands anti-clockwise. I think this is in the manual. Just don’t over cook it and get the seconds running backwards as it can cause damage to the escapement.

  • Yeah, I've read that. Sounds dodgy!

  • It’s not as bad as it sounds but yeah not idiot proof. I think you’d have to be winding it backwards everyday for years before the damage really occurred or they wouldn’t still use this method on each incarnation of the 861 movement.

@Stonehedge agree that’s a cracker, black dial version is best too. What’s the rrp as the website seems especially clunky today after that mail shot.

  • Website seemed to be slow, is it a new model?

  • Just launched. £490ish I think.

Judging by public anticipation it should sell very well.

  • Yup, looks like their site has crashed

  • Got a glimpse; available on the 8th.

Saw the cream with blue hand, very nice!

    £495.

  • Good luck on getting anything from TF. Seems like every few weeks when the sales open again, Eddie shuts it down after 10mins as he gets enough orders in to keep him busy for weeks. So... good for him but you have to be quick if you want the watch :-)
He actually bought the original IWC that this new model is based on. I also like the new logo a lot.

  • Just came here to post that; reckon I used up all my TF karma on getting one of the first batch of 36mm Everests, but am going to try for a black dial Sunday...

  • Bit late for yesterday but I put the SLA017 on an Erika’s.

  • I love that jumper give a certain Haddock vibe.

  • I like how the grey line of the strap nicely line up to the dials.

  • it is so funny reading about the whole TF operation. Eddie could save himself a tonne of pain/stress by employing someone to sort the shipping

  • Been eyeing up a MeisterSinger for a while, have a birthday ending in a zero in the new year, and a modest inheritance coming soon.

    Very tempted with:

  • He’s a 1016 fan don’t forget, he’s probably employing his own form of scarcity theory. Seems to be working..

  • Gold applied Arial? That might be a first.

  • Yeah, I don’t know. Older gentleman, crazy, pandemic times. He’s got history of health issues. Probably not worth the risk.
Great watches for the price I reckon. And seem to hold the value well which can’t be said for about 90% of the industry I guess.
