What's the deal with mini dial in the middle (With the off-centre orange mark)?

That would be my poorly aligned alarm setting.

The triangle is for hour and lines for minutes. Though it's only accurate to about 15 minutes. So in reality no more accurate than any other alarm watch.

I think it means that you can take a split time at 0:55.55 and another it will still show the correct stopwatch time at 1:05:05

And then, when you registered the 0:55.55 you can reset that while the other is still going and split again?

Yes, so hours, minutes and seconds will catch back up to the first set of hands which have continued to move when you pressed the split button. The important thing about the triple is the addition of the hours ticking over from 0 to 1 and so on. Where as the double only has minutes and seconds
