Oh, and tonight?

Wests Festive Do?
6th seems too early.
13th I'm neutral
20th appeals at a Solstice level(Intolerant parent confession.
When mespilus jr. was much smaller & younger,
one year, bored to annoyance at the constant mention of Christmas,
I unilaterally instituted a new House Rule:
'No mention of 'Christmas or any synonym' until the Solstice!';
Penalty; one fewer present.Couple of tearful conversations after childish enthusiasm boiled over into a
mention of the 'C'-word resulting in stern reduction in number of presents.
Benefit: we spent time understanding the cause/nature of the Solstice and the probable disjoint between pre-Xtian science-based celebrations and
the miscalculation that leaves Xmas 4 days adrift.
Biggest (triumphant) smile: mespilus jr. catching Mrs. mespilus using the 'C'-word.
Disclaimer; no presents were withheld).Venue: Red Lion reliable pizza and beers and owned by a forumenger
