So you think the drivers actions were wrong? SHould this pricks go round thinking they're invincible?
Why the dichotomy?
Nobody needs moped thieves, and nobody needs an untrained driver playing hero, endangering the lives of, not just the moped riders, but anyone else unfortunate enough to be on the road at the same time. Particularly vulnerable road users.

If they’re criminals they deserved to be punished by the law, imprisonment etc. Not death or injury. Nobody deserves that, else we’d all still have the death penalty.
imprisonment basically guarantees some form of physical or mental trauma though, so why not get it over with without wasting millions of taxpayer money? stitch them all together as a human centipede and see how many crawl-by phone thefts they manage then.

Bit binary there don't you think.
You ever think about the fact that maybe no one wants to be a moped thief, but maybe certain situations have played out for those people that its become necessary?
I wasn't talking about the truck driver, even though you now bring it up, yes, I do think he was wrong. It's a fucking truck used as an offensive weapon.I was highlighting your very knee jerk reaction to the whole situation and using the same giant brush to taint them all as 'pricks'.

They must want to be moped thieves. If they didn't want to be then they'd do other stuff like become stock-brokers.
I heard a story about a guy that became a billionaire stock-broker shortly after being broke and having a child and sleeping in a subway station and trying to sell medical devices unsuccessfully. But he didn't have a moped.

I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

FINALLY!
It's the least they deserve, but soon enough, it'll be protests from the families if one gets hurt badly. -

Hmm. Didn't enjoy watching that at all.

This is just vigilante justice. Might as well give the cops shooters.

IOPC investigating some crashes at the same time as the Met release this video. Is this the Met garenering public support? -
• #370
I think the crashes being investigated won't even be anything to do with moped crime in the phone snatching acid attack ways of inner London but the bikelife just kids doing wheelies ways of Bexley. Most definitely political, in recent months the Met don't have money to put out anything unless it's politically motivated.
-
• #371
@Clockwise maybe although the article mentions "tactical contact". Does the Met do "tactical contact" for the wheelies kids?
-
• #372
They claim to have.
According to the IOPC, one of the cases being investigated involved a 17-year-old boy who suffered head injuries a year ago in Bexley.
Which I guess is this crash.
According to a Met spokesmen, police then carried out a 'tactical stop' of the moped in the interests of other road users.

If it's being used for anything other than ending pursuits of violent, armed robbery suspects, then it's disproportionate.

The investigation has found that Mr Hicks was in possession of seven
bags of herbal cannabis, in his clothing, when he died.
If they’re criminals they deserved to be punished by the law, imprisonment etc. Not death or injury. Nobody deserves that, else we’d all still have the death penalty.
An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
