Are Roclites and wet grass a bad thing? I'm wearing my pair of 290s for the Grand Union Canal HM on Sunday. Going to take it easy, and it's flat, so maybe I'll be fine even in the pissing rain…
Last month I somehow managed 445km. No plan as such. Just decided to do steady running while I recovered from turning my ankle at parkrun. Trying to transition to speedwork now for a last 2018 assault on the sub-17.
Meanwhile, I've fallen (not literally) for the New Balance Fresh Foam Beacon, the weird one with hardly any rubber outsole. It's great. I was slightly wary about trying it for a long run last weekend as it's more springy than cushy, but it felt great over 30km with a lot of up and down.
I liked it so much, I bought the company!
(well, I stocked up on a couple of pairs of spares on special offer - bonus is no more wasting time thinking about what running shoes I'll need next)

Cheers! I'm always convinced no one reads these things, haha. The Tour of Pendle is just over a week away - that'll be a proper test to see if I'm back in the game (16.5 miles, 4400ft).

It was inevitable really. Roclites + wet grass = game over. Don't reckon I lost any time though, pretty frictionless sliding!
