Love to at some point but can't do this Friday... anywhere round Brick Lane is good as it's kinda on the way home... plus you can't beat pizza and beer!

In.
I know the owners of Paradise Slide on Brick lane pretty well - so could swing a discount on beer / pizza. Pizza is top notch - homemade ricotta / parmasan with loads of veg. Only one beer on tap (hells)? But could move on if needs be.

I've been cooking a lot of tasty vegan food recently so I thought I would share some pics and recipes here. Here's a Biryani I cooked last weekend with a pomegranate topping. The recipe is from the Happy Pear, not sure how popular their books are in the UK but I live about 5 mins from their cafe. Can post the recipe if people are interested.

Yes, recipe please. Looks delicious.
Though portion looks tiny. I would eat that times three.

VegFest today. I didn't manage to meet MCamb but bumped into people I know, some working there. Lots of new stuff I look forward to trying. Getting there early meant I didn't have to queue anywhere except outside for about half an hour, but I didn't mind that. At 10:45, the queue was already halfway around the block, but it moved fast and we got in around 11:15. I also heard an interesting talk, on psychological trauma in vegan activists. Good day (except to find a slow puncture when I came out again).

That was just a snack portion I made from left overs! Dinner was about 3 times that!
Recipe below, enjoy!

Had a look at whole fuel but there’s a bit too much sugar in it for my liking. It gets a lot of stick for copying (ish) Huel but seems pretty good...
I’m interested in vegan proteins as it’s so easy to fall back on whey due to cost/palatability/digestion but... cows.
Heard lots of good stuff about hemp as it’s pretty complete in terms of amino acids but doesn’t mix well or taste good... -

Just a heads up if anyone is free on Saturday 4th November. My partner and I are hosting a screening of 'Land of Hope and Glory' at The Yard Peckham, Copeland Park (next door to Seabass Cycles). It'll start at 4pm.
We're going to be offering free food for anyone who comes (most likely we'll be doing our popular black bean chilli) and it'll be a good chance to get to meet some new faces. There will be some Q&A with the creator 'Earthling Ed' and also a chance to do those virtual reality headsets. It'd be great if some of you come along, and also bring a non vegan friend!

Think they sell Mork at Lomond Coffee Roasters in Deptford, otherwise the guy who runs the account Sam, lives in Peckham. I think they're opening up a space of their own in Hackney soon too :)
I have a couple of kilos I could shift if you're interested as well :)

Just got a text from a girl I've had a few dates with saying she can't see me anymore because she can't get her head around the vegan thing. When will society ever accept our kind?
Lets meet up for a beer vegan people and maybe some eats - friday? Anyone around?
