Do people get moody on this gloop?
I'm an utter childish shit to all around when I deprive myself of sugars.
-
• #253
Yeah, at first. Once you adapt to less spikes you should be less prone to being moody though. In theory.

Almost out. Ordered two more bags of unsweetened/unflavoured for the next 4 weeks. Sucralose can >>>>>>

anyone get headaches from it?
just out of interest
-
• #256
Only when I tried to increase my subscription order by one bag! :)
-
• #257
Not personally but it seems to be a thing.
-
• #258
I did. Drinking moar water sorted it so I guess I was getting a bit dehydrated.
-
• #259
Just ordered a couple of bags. Hopefully this can fend off my frequent afternoon chocolate binge
-
• #260
I found I got less as I must have been spectacularly dehydrated courtesy of a bad coffee habit...

I think it's getting to the point where @Velocio needs to sort a discount.
Or @BernardRenault does if this whole thread is a clever soshulmeeja marketing campaign.

Nothing to do with it at all ackchewally, in fact I'm a lapsed hueller who's got back on the wagon eating the three bags gathering dust under my sink. People did comment how well I looked, all I did was kick the caffeine, row for half an hour a day and live on huel for a month or two, the sleep got better and I got more stuff done not faffing with food. I know the potential of this stuff but living like a food trappist monk isnt for everyone. I just hit 50 and decided with my now less than efficient metabolism it was time to get fit again. I used to do a lot of miles on the bike, but having previously rather smugly overtaken sweating lumps in lycra, I didnt want to put myself in the formers position! Re a discount, the forum could always ask them! In fact, good idea.

Anyone got a referal code?

recently been trying huel as a pre-training (ride or turbo) fuel. adding a scoop of high-5 to unflavoured huel makes for a suprisingly palatable and energising snack. anyone else done similar?

Cheers!

Do they use pea protein so that Huel is vegan? Any other reasons? It has a resounding taste of pea
-
• #269
Pea and brown rice protein. They could have used soy protein to keep it vegan so not sure why they chose pea. I can't tast it, tbh.
-
• #270
Yeah I wasn't sure if it had more nutritional value.
I've only ever tried Whey protein so it tastes quite different to that. Maybe it's just me then!
-
• #271
pea protein is vile, i can't detect it in the flavour of vanilla huel though.
-
• #272
Bear Grylls seems to love it though.
-
• #273
Thats not so bad. There'd be trouble if Ray Mears loves it 😂
-
• #274
Just had my first Huel, unflavoured wasn't as pleasant as this thread had led me to believe...
-
• #275
it's nicer if you blend some fruit into it.
Ah, fair enough. I'd heard that excess protein is just pissed out but that is probably incorrect.
As for routine, my first meal of the day (this is only weekdays, weekends are normal food all day) is 150g Huel at 2pm. I then go climbing after work and have a proper dinner at home around 8. Sometimes I'll have a banana or something before leaving work.
