  • Last I heard he was in an induced coma, what's the latest?
    Always liked him in motogp.

  • He's critical - potential brain damage.

  • Desperate news, I really hope he makes it.

  • Jack Miller crash in FP4 yesterday, rider OK, actually rode in Qualifying less than an hour later and placed 11th.

  • Wasn't even doing what he grew up doing and he's dead. Absolute fuckin shame.

  • Alright kids. I've got a week off work next week and I'm planning on taking the bike somewhere over a period of a few days. Its a naked Bonneville so I won't be able to spend days on the motorway, so any recommendations for somewhere in the south? Beautiful forests or culture or sea or architecture are all on the interests list. Don't mind spending a night or two in a travel lodge either.

  • Down to the New Forest / Poole via Surrey A and B roads (obvs not always on the A3).

Then west along the coast to Dorset / Somerset and back.

You could visit Stonehenge on the return route.

Unfortunately, there is no culture in that part of the world though. So it's just scenery, cream teas, and a better chance of nice weather.

  • That sounds goddamned ideal. I always wanted to go to the New Forest ever since I learned EMF were from there and I've never done it. Great shout. I even think you can wild camp in parts of the forest if I was feeling really masochistic (I am not. I will be getting a beautiful hotel in private grounds).

Brilliant, thanks. Sold to the man like @hugo7

  • @psy and @reeen had an app that helps on route selection, be it scenic or fast required.

  • Sweet, would be really interested to know what that is. Could definitely use one

  • Fuck sake, my insurance has gone up 20% this year, due to the Brexit effect.
As it's an Italian bike and all the parts are priced in Euros, the insurance companies are passing it on to us.

  • Sounds like bs from your broker/insurance company. I re-insured a month ago at the same price and mine's made in Italy. I thought it was bad it hasn't gone down with another years ncb!

  • Rossi has been hospitalised in a MX accident, hope he recovers for the Italian MotoGP in a couple of weeks

  • Chain ferry from Sandbanks (Poole side) to Studland (Purbeck) is brilliant and takes you from footballer's wives hell to the 1950s in 5 mins flat.

Worth looking at Corfe Castle (steam train too), Tyneham village (WW2 ghost village), Durdle Door, Lulworth cove, Portland bill, Chesil beach etc. Bring your swimming kit.

  • Shame about the rain, but it's not every day you get a camera crew. Macmillan wanted me to be in their new campaign, so I thought a trip to Box Hill might be in order.

  • Downright bucolic - a great shot - looks a bit like you're smiling even.

  • This sounds awesome. I reckon that might be a good trip to do with the missus later in the year. Thanks man, sounds like you know your exploratory onions.

  • Does anyone with a smallish bike want a rear paddock stand?

I was going to try to turn it into a front stand, but honestly it's not going to happen.

  • I'm looking for a type of motorbike but I'm not familiar with them enough to know what it is I'm after. I think it's a bobber, not a Harley, more like a kawa or Yamaha. Simple, flat bar. Any suggestions,!i appreciate this may be something I need to build myself but what 2nd hand models make good bases for such builds?

  • Is this the look you're going for?
