Dunnit. This has been the toughest project so far. Recalcitrant bastard it was, took 15kg of citric acid in 3 separate acid baths, plus drilling and grinding to descale. Then dozens of cycles of build, discover leak, drain, strip, mend leak, rebuild, discover you've disturbed something in the process, drain, strip... Even the bodywork was far from straightforward, many hours of stripping rust, painting, polishing, assembling, adjusting...
Now it's done and it's fucking ace. It's going to be the centrepiece of my coffee shop when i get that up and running. The shot in the video isn't great, but you get the jist.

Is there a go-to nice but not that pricey espresso cup/saucer set?

TK-Maxx Kitchen Section, pick something you like. Charity Shops for older/more unusual ones. Ikea?

Any recommendations near to London Fields for a pre Dynamo coffee? It used to be LMNH for me but I think that has closed down. I won't be there until about 6.30-7pm so Climpsons will be shut by them.

Bit late, but you can replace the hario skerton glass jar with similar sized jam jars, so someone could do that if they wanted the grinder part from you.

Gahh, wish I'd known before forking out for a new one!

Any recommends for a half decent Aeropress filter?
My current wire filter is balls (dead cheap) and i got much better results from 2 paper filters, but i prefer the non-throw away-ness. -

I use this one and it's great http://store.terrone.co.uk/product/superfine-metal-disc-for-aeropress
The benefit that you get with the metal disc filter of some of the oils getting into the coffee (something that you lose with paper) really shines through with this but, ultimately, without the usual sediment issues metal filters can result in.

That looks good - will give one a go, cheers!
Thinner is good: My current one is pretty beefy and if i don't really crank the filter holder tight i get leakage and have to start over.

Aeropress leakage is such a PITA, especially as there's usually about five people in the office kitchen stood around going 'oooh, fancy pants has got a fancy way of making coffee' and just willing something to go wrong so they can dismiss it as a faff and continue the mindless Kenco abuse.

£20 for a filter? Dayum.

It's made entirely in Italy using a breaking through technology that uses light beams to perforate the thin and durable steel sheet.
Otherwise known as lasers. then?

Yeah I wondered at that. Do you think they reckoned saying 'laser cut' would devalue it or something?

Where is the coffee shop going to be based?

Just received my order of this, seems pretty good. Cheaper one here, depending on shipping

Is there a prefered home grinder for under £100?
Will be used once daily (maybe a couple on weekends/ working from home days)
Usage will vary between filter machine, cafetiere, aeropress, mokka, cold brew, so will need to be variable and consistant.Used to have a Krups thing that was ok but not consistant and couldnt change the grind size much (had a dozen options but the difference was not very much)
Ideally less than a £100 but can stretch if its needed.
Not interested in manual, i have a hand grinder at work and its hard enough work getting 13g for the aeropress, dont fancy it for 50g at home.
(sorry, I know this is a fairly common question, i may have even asked it before)

I have a Gaggia MDF grinder that does all that. Not under a 100 though but mine is about 15 years old and still going strong so well worth the money. I think they are about 150 ish now.

I've had an iberital grinder for about 10 years, I like it.;
Any links to good but affordable coffee? Ordered a kid of electric when there was that discount code and got a taste for the good stuff, my regular stuff just ain't the same now..: but I ain't a rich man. #addictlife
