Started to notice that when i get to around my third coffee of the day ( I probably average 4 cups four in total), I start getting very irritable.
Do i drink too much?
I've been on around four cups a day for years now so dunno why this has started happening, may just be random life stresses etc

Electric Coffee - nice website. Too hipster for me. Could I just get a kilo of beans a month?

Amateur Doctor Assessment:
Caffeine increases stress levels so if your stress level has increased it may be that the 4 cups is pushing you too high and hence getting irritable. Therefore the answer is either to reduce the stress or reduce the coffee.
Another possibility is that you're hungry and need to eat more.

I only have time to make coffee on weekends so I just order as and when I need more.
It's a radical no-subscription model but I like it.

Am going to have to reduce the stress and stop working. Coffee intake will remain as is :-)

Therefore the answer is either to reduce the stress or reduce the coffee.
That or drink loads more coffee and see if there's a sweet spot somewhere on the other side...

Ay, well done!
Did he laugh at the idea of powder coat over filler though? -
• #11938
No, he said he could sort it out but it would be a shame to as it's so easy to polish out when you know about metal finishing.

"ex Costa coffee espresso machine on sale at great price of 100 pounds or best offer"
Could be a good project for someone with time & space...
-
• #11942
That's a bargain. Those machines are made by CMA/Astoria. my Astoria is absolutely bombproof, beautifully engineered and thoroughly reliable. Parts still easily available and cheap too. I'd be onto this if I had space and could be bothered to drive to London.

Ooh that surface rust is a warning sign. Panels are always expensive and they dont get like that without serious neglect which bodes badly for the insides and electrics. As for single phase conversion, dunno. Certainly new elements, not sure about the brain box and other electronics - that side of things is my weak spot, my electrical understanding is very basic. How much do you want a project? £100 is always cheap for a 2 group but that's going to need £500+ and at least 20 hours i predict.

Mmm, Will go and see it in the flesh and see If I can haggle.
It's a work blag as currently we sell instant and I have plans but very little budget.
Will see what the powers that be will let me spend.
Thanks -

Ok, It's not 3 phase. Thank fuck.
Some dodgy wiring (by me) and it all appears to work. It needs stripping and rebuilding and the rust doesn't look that bad in real life.
Now let the work begin. He was happy to get rid so I've given him £50 and a couple of bottles of Rioja.

That's a great result, good score.

thought not, i dont remember la spaziale making a 3 phase machine.
anywho, parts are easy to come by, and not too expensive. you cant service the steam valves, so i'd just replace them. it's a 53mm basket fyi.
if you have any issues i used to engineer these and have seen pretty much everything that can go wrong with them.

Excellent thanks.
It's come with 4 portafilters and a knock box. He's looking for the grinder today.
It's not been used in 3 years.
If you use it, it gets you some points - not sure that it saves you any money on this order but would on the next...
