Any 10 courses other than E2/10 and V718 that I'd likely go fast on?

P881 is supposed to be fairly quick, doing it at the start of August as a mixed 2up

F11/10 has a gift hill half way through. And I think the F2D/10 could be pretty fast - very flat and good road, but prob lacking traffic. https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/11425

P881/10 or P881R?
I'm not getting either appear in my list so that probably means I'm doing something else when they're run.EDIT: I see, p881/10 is the 2-up
EDIT: Hutch has 18:07 on P881R

Yeah, I missed the last F11/10 to do the ECCA100. There's another later in the year but it's post TCR so probably no point for me. Might have to wait until next year.
F2/10D looks interesting. Has anyone raced it before?

Although if Hutch is the course record holder and only did a 19:22 there's not much hope of me doing 19:30-40 (even if I am faster than him over 12hrs ;)).
Has a stupid finish: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/334180
Actually, only need 19:55

I need to go to the f11/10 again... I've been twice and both were awful rides, but they are still my two fastest 10s.
-
• #13685
Hmm, ok so the other one's not right. Still, Hutch only did 19: on that and 18 on the P881R.

• #13686
Awful why? How fast? I'm within 30s off what I need on the E2/10 I just need a better day.
-
• #13688
Damn it. I probably could've ridden it and the 100 and still PB'd but I was worried after last time with the 50. In the end I still struggled with my leg anyway so I don't think it matters if I race beforehand or not. Oh, well, hindsight, etc.

The only remaining E2/10 events are ECCA only, ladies or vets. hisses

R10/17 in Abergavenny is a fast, flat, concrete dual carriageway course and you've fessed up on this thread to liking Wales :)

I'm not sure if it's any use but these are my 2 rides on the F11. I don't know why I forgot to record the Rho, but both were bad due to illness (Bossard wheelers I had tummy issues possibly related to too much breakfast and an early start... vommed on the descent, Hemmel I had stepped off a plane from South America 48hrs before, and was jet lagged suffering from plane flu). Both Specialist and Justin Layne recorded times substantially under your target, so it's definitely possible to go quick there. Plus it's reasonably local for London folk.

RhO: NACompare that to my recent ride (a course pb) on the H10/181 (A40 at Witney) which I think you've also ridden, and is a pretty decent course. I felt good, and I think that this was petty much a perfect evening - I lopped 19seconds off my previous course PB. Anecdotally I'd guess the F11 is maybe a minute faster than the H10/181 on a good day.

F2D/10 is fast, and can have reasonable traffic levels if everyone in Cambourne is going shopping in Cambridge. My 10 mile PB is from the F2D/10, and that's after having riden the E2/10 twice.

As a member of an ECCA-affiliated club and an East Anglian vet, I think that's a marvellous thing.
-
• #13694
yeah you got there eventually!
i'm slightly concerned that i'm going to set a time that i find hard to beat on my own despite being part of a mixed team!

30th Jun bit late to enter, couple in Sep that might be ok.
-
• #13697
I think I've done the H10/17R (21:29) not sure about the H10/181 - I can't find it in my notes anyway.
Nick English is a couple of minutes faster than me in 25s I guess so there's potential for club rec. on F11/10. Bit annoyed I didn't ride the last one. :(

I've entered the one in late Aug. Just wanted to try and get it done before TCR makes me hate bikes.

If only. I suspect I wouldn't feel so depressed if I'd voted for Brexit, particularly after a weekend experiencing the joys of open borders and the best that the continent has to offer. But I agree with the sentiment generally. They can indeed.
People were complaining about the wind in the BDCA but once turned around it was bliss... weeeee
