I still wanna try c-spring swapping.

SW15 or E14
...plus can throw in an extra used left c-spring.

My pedal issue is fixed. Because I dont use adaptors or speedplay bolts. I dont get the clicks to guide me. So I'd slightly over torqued and trapped the C-spring. So it wouldnt Clip into the pedal. Stopping at a service station and simply adding a shit load more torque didnt help. Guess I should be thankful I dont carry a hammer.
Did a 20 min test up a freezing mountain With my left foot barely cliped in and With the float seemingly locked out With my foot slightly angled. Fun times.
Still. Fixed now, didnt require pricey New cleats, and my right leg set a PB.

Richmond during the evenings? I'm in Ealing so could ride down one night.

Rookie.

Evenings yes - near Putney bridge. Go to Richmond park some evenings too if that is easier.

Absolutely a rookie.
We've been through this. I hate adaptors, so I took a drill to my Bonts. Needed bolts just the right length to go through the cleat and into the shoe inserts. Annoyingly the cleat holes are a size Down from the insert holes. But nothing a 800w drill couldnt fix.

Are extender plates compatible with walkable/aero cleats?
I can fit regular cleats ok, but the upper part of the walkers (which is lower stack than regular) seems to be have very slightly different 4-bolt spacing.
I did buy them second-hand though, minus instructions, so I'm not entirely sure which screws (if any) I should be using.

Anyone experienced grease pouring out of the pedals after re-greasing?
-
• #743
You mean the grease suddenly began to exit by the axle some time after you'd finished regreasing?
I'd guess that the old grease was bunged-up (cold weather?) and wasn't all forced out initially.
When it warmed-up or was loosened by the pressure of the new grease, it was then forced out.

Sorry I probably need to explain this better, after I regreased the pedals and get the old grease out and clean the residue from both pedal. However, when I take the bike out for a spin and I discover that my right pedal grease slowly oozes out a considerable amount and after about a couple of ride the pedal on the axle becomes spiny again due to the lack of grease.

I always get a bit of grease coming out of the axle end after regressing, i reckon as the grease loosens/warms up with the pedal turning. I find it helps to gently press the seal back in with small flat head screwdriver after the regrease as i rotate the pedal. Very gently though. Realised this after a grease change actually pushed the seal all the way out of the pedal

That doesn't sound right.
If the o-ring is borked, you need BS1806-012 size.
Preferably made from Viton, rather than Nitrile.

I've taken a punt on the rockbros ti axles with my cro-mo ones on the commuter getting really corroded.
Plan is to built ti ones for my nice bike and put stainless ones on commuter/trainer

Cheers,

If anyone wants to swap a new right Zero cleat for my new left Zero cleat let me know. I stand on my right foot at junctions so have two spare lefts.
