I've asked this elsewhere but not in this (more appropriate) thread: Why does Speedplay package their "Coffee Shop" cleat covers as "Light Action" and "Zero" when the covers fit both and seem to be the same-- unless I've overlooked something?

does anyone know the weight of a pair of stainless axles?
I bought some china-direct ti ones, they weighed 61.24g. I'm gonna re-build some dead cro-mo ones with them.

Before and after of my dead cro-mo pedals rebuilt with Chinese ti 76mm axles, bow ties and bolts.
Rode them for the first time yesterday, were a bit difficult to clip into at first but seemed to get better with use

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301694250706Beware other ti bolts - my boss bought some that were allen key, not Torx and they were 2mm too short on the thread. I have the ones in the link and they're direct copies of the speedplay ones.

are they not trendy anymore? what are go to hhsrb pedals now

high maintenance, high price, cleats are pricey and hard to walk in, C ring breaks and you have to buy whole new set of cleats. All that for dual side attachment is not worth it IMO. Just get Exustar.

Literally never broken a speedplay C spring

I've had miles and miles of hassle free operation from mine (although I probably do need to change the grease); plus they offer more adjustability than just about any other pedal and the free float is good for knees.
Wouldn't change back if you paid me.

never heard of exustar, just looked up. alarmingly cheap and quite light? whats the catch?
That is standard if you regreased-- as most people do-- by injection. This is especially true if the pedal was filled with black muck and one pushed grease through to purge the old.. The cavity gets so filled with grease that some fo the "extra" needs to go somewhere and that is ...
