LFGSS weekly photography challenge

Another option is a Google photos shared album, which are supported by browser, iOS and Android.

It makes the uploading of photos dead easy and we could link to the album in our submission posts (I did this with my title).

The details are a bit boring, but essentially someone makes the album and then posts the link to it here. Anyone with that link can then contribute to the album.

When submitting an entry the process would be:

Upload to shared album, post here with a link, title, hashtag and attachment copy.

The judging is then pretty easy as you just need to view the album.

We could have an album per week.

Voting could be kept on thread, as a classic LFGSS list.

^I like this idea.

the hashtags help whoever it is that creates a new thread for the poll.

the only way in my opinion that a voting can take place is:
@mi7rennie saves all the images to his pc
makes a new thread with just the titles and the photos
adds a poll for 24-48 hours.

going through 11 pages to vote without a poll is not going to work

We do love a good list

hastags seem to be hard to find again in search, but we could maybe use a unique word for each post each week, like "architecturephotocomp" or something. If it's only in the posts with submitted photos it should make them easier to find.

forgive me for saying this but having a list for voting and opening several tabs, or going back 11 pages, or opening a link then back to open another link; to view photos is not a good format for this kind of thing. a proper thread with a poll and a link to this thread since everyone is following this thread would be much easier, straight forward and overall better to view/judge/vote photos.
