as soon as my sore calf is better (will see when i run this weekend) I have a shit ton of miles to do up until april and beyond. most of which are meant to be done at 9.5/10 min/mile pace, you're always welcome to get involved.
having someone to talk to helps me keep it at the prescribed easy/conversational pace as well and not speed up.

100 kg - I can treat myself to my favourite sandwich from Pronto Cafe, the New Yorker
92 kg - I can have a pizza
76 kg - I can treat myself to hiut jeans
67 kg (22 BMI) - I finally ask you out.I also want to do this super awesome secret fun activity I had planned a couple of years ago but have procrastinated. Am aiming to do it April 17 if I get light enough.

I also want to stop being embarrased when I go to meetings. My job involves organising cycle races and a lot stakeholders have a certain disbelief when I tell them that I'm really into cycling.

fwiw when i went from 135kg to ~87kg back in 2010 I did almost all of it through running, when I then felt skinny enough to get a bike and I joined the forum and got into cycling I dropped maybe the last stone cycling and running but once I switched to just cycling I mostly just maintained my weight (and then ballooned when the cunting van driver drove into me and I was off the bike for nearly 6 months) but I also used to drink a metric fucktone of booze as cycling also meant I could get to the pub easier. thing is I wasn't training for a race I was just doing lots of 5-10k runs and maybe a hill session once a week/fortnight.
tldr; running helped me lose weight better than cycling but I did mostly just cycle to the pub.

Do you run down the CS7 route? I could join you for some of it (south from oval) sometimes.

That's so rude. Tell them you're twice the man Chris Froome is.

Ok cool, let's arrange it. I've only been doing this commute for a few weeks and I'm already bored.

You basically flattened the hill.

• #10273
Actually, that was like 7 fucking years ago! I need to go back and fix that slow-ass 6min time.
-
• #10274
So it should be faster now.

Steam-roll the motherfucker!
You are doing it way quicker than me dude; my metabolism was (is?) not as good as many people.
Long journey yes but the payoff is good! Do you have a target? Mine was 7 mins up box hill or something daft ..
