  • I want to do the transcontinental race next year, can anyone tell me the dates I would need off work? Can't find them online and tomorrow is cut off for holiday requests at work.

  • You can also get the 11 speed free hub body for the Novatec D712 hubs, and convert it yourself.

Did you do this? I'm wondering what's involved.

I've just been informed that due to a listing error, the 11-speed D712 hubs I've ordered are in fact 10-speed only. So my best bet is probably to return them and convert the D042SB hubs I already own, if possible.

  • Is TF2 suitable for greasing a chain?

  • Accidental 'cross ended up with a very bent hanger this morning... where can I get a replacement ASAP?

  • Gonna be bed bound for the next few days after a pretty serious crash on the bike Thursday night, looking for some bike videos or short clips, vimeo etc to watch.

    Red hook crit,Rapha etc

    Any suggestions?

  • Where's the best place to buy large plastic boxes for the purpose of moving house, also where's best to get large cardboard boxes from?

  • Might be worth considering renting removal crates if you only need them for moving. A quick Google search turned these up (South East) - if I read it correctly it's about £1 per week per box:

  • Is TF2 suitable for greasing a chain?

It's an effective lubricant, but it's also en even more effective grime retainer, so it turns into grinding past in practice. Also, if you're into marginal gains, grease is very slow.

  • Does he mean one of the tf2 chain lubes or the spray and greasing the chain should read lubing the chain?

  • Something may have been lost in translation. What he needs for his chain in fork handles.

  • This might be OK.

  • Best place to buy Challenge Strada Bianca 700x30c with gumwalls?

  • Is it not steel?

  • yes, i think its too far too bend back

  • Is it a replaceable hanger?

If not, just bend it back, steel is good like this.

  • yeah its replaceable! just need to figure out which of 200

  • Take the derailleur off and have a close inspection, it should have a serial number on it.

    Or ask Matt.

  • I was thinking of using this.
    So yes, lube not grease.

  • That'll be OK for a clean up and will lube it to an extent but will not last long, if you give it a quick spray after every couple of rides you'll probably be fine but you'll be better off getting some kind of proper chain lube and applying a bit after cleaning the chain then wiping off any excess.

  • Am I correct in thinking that the rifling in my fork steerer means its Columbus SLX/SPX? Does this mean the frame's probably SLX/SPX as well, or am I gonna have to take the BB out and stick a finger in the downtube to check?

  • What will you do differently once you have established which tubeset was used to make it?

  • Flaunt.

  • Q
does anyone know a reasonably priced gun metal coloured 27.2 350mm+ seatpost?
