I was remembering him on Sunday while having a chat on a ride.
I remember haring after him down a Hill when he had taken a wrong turn. It took ages to catch up, and even longer to climb back up the hill. We had a laugh.
I have been out of touch with him (and the social side of the forum lately). His passing has reminded me of how many genuinely nice people I have met on here. He was one of the gems.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Just got proper choked up reading all these comments, it seems he had much the same impression on everyone. What a great effect to have had, it's really something to aspire to.
I'd love to make drinks in his honour, I really think we should do something. I can't do this weekend unfortunately though.

this is so wrenching. when i think of dwayne i dont think of any badness. i think of sweet bikes, smiles, guinness, tweed, the vintage jersey ride and slogging our way up a hill (that wasnt a massive hill but felt like a mountain because we were out of condition). i think of dwayne's ability to sniff out the gems on ebay and i laugh to myself about the raleigh Ti thread.
thank you so much for stepping into our lives and showing us another way to be.
RIP brother

Dwayne would drink a lot but was never rowdy. His mild manners would force us to behave ourselves. We can be a horrible bunch of loud cunts, but not him (and maybe Gerald). And then he'd jump on his bike and cycle home with no problem. I was always worried he'd smash his face and damage those beautiful beautiful bikes.

I'm very sorry about this.
I met Dwayne, the big Dwayne, just once in a jersey ride long time ago, and I remember him as a very sensible and gentle guy.
Rest in peace you great man. -

Maybe it's not the best, but that was my way of spending 20 mins thinking about him.

^^^Nice.
I'm hoping to get Bar Story for a one off Bright Times reunion. Things have become pretty fragmented here with many splinter groups. We mostly come together for weddings and funerals, so thought it'd be nice to reconnect: dance/smoke/chit chat a Sunday away with Dwayne at heart. -

Sounds awesome, Fest... A few of us are gonna get together at the Regent tomorrow night, pop in if you wanna join us in raising a glass to the man...
