No way. Can't add much to the already wonderful stories in this thread except to agree with everyone about how great he was. RIP. Only the classiest of acts.

RIP Dwayne.
Met him a couple of times, only briefly, but each time he struck me as a warm, open, friendly person.
We need more like him, not less.

Awful news. Only met a couple of times but all if this love is justified. Very obviously a wonderful man.

RIP Dwayne.
I always saw you around South's and chatted a bit, always felt I'd like to know you better.
Sad times.

Choked and genuinely shocked.
So many words have been written about this guy - immaculate taste, impeccable manners, and such a warm-spirited person.
My lasting memories of him will always be of any one of his beautifully built, period perfect bicycles - generally with a spare tub on or about his person. It's almost as if practicality wasn't a word that he'd ever spared a thought for. His eye for detail was phenomenal and our world will be a sadder place without him.
My thoughts go out to his nearest and dearest during this time and in the future. Sad times indeed.
RIP Dwayne.

I met him at east's, quiyr a few years ago now, and was instantly struck by how friendly he was to me, a total stranger. Such a kind and interesting guy. Definitely a great loss for us all.
I hope his family will see this thread, so many kind words and thoughts about him.
RIP Dwyane

Dwayne was a true gent. Always spoke so softly, yet his words were always listened to and heard by many.
We lost another one of the good guys.

So so sad, loved the guy, he was so gentle, so nice, and very dapper on the Tweed Runs. So glad I had the pleasure of knowing him, will preserve the happy memory of seeing him smiling at our wedding last year.

Really sad news. RIP.

This is just so sad. As everyone has said, he was a softly-spoken gentleman, always kind, always ready to share his knowledge or help, and damned patient in waiting for the right part to complete another stupidly perfect bike. It is a significant loss to the community, and my first days (and many more after) at Wests wouldn't have been the same had he not been there.
